Putting aside the fact that this entire story is based on a guy deciding everything in his relationship based on his own timeline (realizing he doesn't want a family with her so he breaks up with her then refuses to accept no for an answer when he finally is ready for a family and wants her back), this was an ok story. The entire hinged on the MMC's whims, which I generally don't like. The FMC was basically just waiting for him to decide he wanted a life with her, and he said so many times that she's the love of his life, he just couldn't give her children and marry her. And he proceeded to break up with her so she could find someone who would while being hugely hurt when she finally went on one date. I mean he wasn't horrible to her about it because that's exactly what he wanted for her, but he was internally so wishy-washy it was annoying. He said multiple times at every point in the book that breaking up with her was the greatest mistake of his life, but he did NOTHING about it for an entire year until he saw that she was pregnant. THEN he was ready to go the distance for her and to force her to let him back into her life. Smh
Also I didn't appreciate the 4 month time skip right after they get back together and he's supposed to be earning her trust. We don't see any of that time together, it just skips to a time where he's close to earning her trust in him back and goes from there. I have no idea what made her trust him again because we don't see it. We get a recap in his internal thoughts and that's it.
Also I'm annoyed at yet another book about twins with inaccuracies about the difference between the types of twins and which ones are traits inherited genetically and which ones aren't. This book acted like the babies the MCs have, which are identical twins, was passed on genetically because the FMC is a twin and the MMC is a triplet. No. The higher likelihood of non-identical twins, like the MC and her brother, IS a genetic trait that is passed through the mother's line. Identical twins, or identical triplets, like the MMC and his two brothers, are a complete miracle of nature that's not passed down genetically.
Anyway, the family members in this one are great, and the support system is strong. The death of a side character that occurs was tragic, but what came about with the family pulling together afterward to help each other out was beautiful.
