Baylor was a sentinel, berserk sentinel warrior, five senses are exceptional, but also uses his animal spirit to help in combat. However, he transmigrated as a flower vase omega, and would soon be given away as a gift. This was not the problem, the problem was that the world had no guides and he could be in danger of a psychic riot at any time.
Baylor was annoyed, and an annoyed sentinel does not know restraint, with the body of a soft omega, he fought against any alpha he met.
The alphas: ????
Using a disguised identity, the Imperial General Ewan subdued the fighting Baylor, and sneered: You like to fight? Do you want to go to the front line to fight?
Then Baylor saw his lost spiritual animal was spinning around the alpha’s feet, and was still foolishly following him. His restless mental energy suddenly became calm. This, surely, was the guide!
So Baylor decided to guard this “guide” in case of emergency. When someone provoked him, Baylor first pinned him to the ground. When an interstellar beast attacked, Baylor gave up his life to block.
Ewan, the youngest general in the history of the empire, the top alpha, cold and ruthless, killing and decisive. There was a famous saying from him, only the weak need a mate. So, when he looked at Baylor jumping in front of him regardless of his own safety, he saw it as a crazy love (?) So, being sensible, he said: I’m not interested in omegas, you don’t have to waste time on me.
Baylor: … What the hell was he talking about? Forget it, the walking guide can be forgiven for doing anything. Until one day, Baylor suddenly found out that what he thought was a guide helping alleviate his irritation was actually the pheromone of the world’s top alpha! Baylor: Oh!
And then–
Subordinate: General, Mr. Baylor went to dine with the prince today.
Subordinate: General, Mr. Baylor went to see the exhibition with the movie emperor today.
Subordinate: General, your pen was broken!
…
Later, someone saw the “no worldly desires” general in the evening in the empty training ground, pressing a person fiercely in the training cabin and kissing him, his pheromones turned up into a shocking wave.
After seeing such a low rate and reading so many bad reviews I went with zero expectations. I was curious about the premise and I don't usually care about quality with this genre (Intergalactic Omegaverse is my guilty pleasure 🙈). So consider me shocked when I realized what a great book this was!!
I don't understand why this novel is so underrated because I loved it. I read a MTLed version, barely edited but I still enjoyed it, although I think I lost some brain functions trying to figure out some stuff 😂.
Not only was the plot good and consistent through the whole story, the characters were also amazing and the main couple hilarious and sweet. I admit that is not the best of this genre but it's still on the top 10.
I think this could be considered a guideverse book, or something very close to that. It's my first time reading something like that but I have heard of this kind of books and this reminded me of it. They call it sentinels and guides but the dynamic is very similar. MC comes from a post apocalyptic world and was a sentinel there. He transmigrated into the body of an Omega in a different world. He's the soul of this novel. Not your stereotypical omega that's for sure. He's violent and lacking common sense, and his way of thinking always surprised me 😂. He found his 'guide' and never doubted to stick to him. Later, he figured out it was his Alpha pheromones that were attractive to him and just went with the flow 😂.
I really liked this couple. It was a satisfying slow burn. Both of them were not looking for a mate and their lives took a shocking turn when they realized their feelings for each other. Their chemistry was great but the best part for me was their trust and the way they never lied and communicated about everything.
I hope this review helps to bring more readers to this gem and starts being more appreciated 🥺
Interstellar. Omegaverse. Guideverse. Military. Competition. It was okay. The romance is VERY slow burn since the MC is severely lacking in common sense. The ending was rushed and the "villains" very easily solved. Just another plot that fell short..
I think I liked the first 40 or so chapters better than the rest of the book. I guess I didn't realize from the synopsis that so much of it would be about being in the military, training and fights. I was looking forward to an alpha groveling after not realizing he did actually like the gifted omega and there were only some sprinkles of that throughout. It was more about a strong, straightforward omega who stumbled upon an S rank alpha to soothe his mental energy and a competent S rank alpha who fell in love first, was initially resist than got over it because love rivals appeared. He wasn't even that possessive and because the omega was so straightforward, the progression of the relationship didn't feel satisfying either, the omega just kind of accepted everything. I had hoped for more angst but the omega was too much of a blockhead and the alpha was too reasonable.
I loved it!! MC is OP. Not your typical weak, strong willed omega but definitely physically strong af. He the type who doesn't give a sht to the rumors and gossip but cares a lot if it comes to his people. He definitely proves people wrong & shows them who's boss. Also love the ML how he's not overbearing and was patient with the MC.
A different take on the cliche ABO novel. The omega transmigrator carries over his skills which dominate the nobels and strong military trainees. The dialogue leaves out most of the miscommunications that drive the plot on too many novels. Worth reading once.
Ok this book is taking 'think outside of the box' literally in the ABO version. I love how the author balances the ranking and power level of the A's, B's, and O's. It so much fun!
DNF. The translation is not good, I think I got the MTL version. Might give this a try again later when I find a good translation or learn enough Chinese.
The story of a boy raised by violence learning to enjoy himself and find he can love in another world. Love the sentinel concept and wish we had more independent stories with that trope rather than it being an accompaniment to the omegaverse like here
