It's lambing season at the farm, and there are more orphaned lambs to look after than ever. When Jenny sees how gentle Jess is with the tiny lambs, she wonders if there's a way he can help.
Lucy Daniels is the collective name for the writing team that created the bestselling children's book series Animal Ark, many of the books are also published under the name of the series creator, Ben M. Baglio.
Awwwwww, this was such a heartwarming book about a girl and her puppy trying to feed all of the orphaned and abandoned lambs during lambing season. It was so lovely, and who doesn't love the idea of a border collie puppy feeding lambs.
The lambing season has begun at Windy Hill and as there are so many orphoned lambs Jenny has to feed them in the kitchen. She sees how gentle Jess is with them and comes up with an idea which will help to feed the lambs faster. Meanwhile Jenny has become firm friends with Mrs Grace's nephew Ian and Carrie her best friend.
I love the character of Jenny. She is quiet and has been through a fair bit of emotion turmoil but is growing in confidence and determination.
This series of books about Jess the Sheepdog is another triumph by Lucy Daniels. I was completely hooked from the very first book. A sad storyline at times but very enjoyable read.
