The lambing season has begun at Windy Hill and as there are so many orphoned lambs Jenny has to feed them in the kitchen. She sees how gentle Jess is with them and comes up with an idea which will help to feed the lambs faster. Meanwhile Jenny has become firm friends with Mrs Grace's nephew Ian and Carrie her best friend.

I love the character of Jenny. She is quiet and has been through a fair bit of emotion turmoil but is growing in confidence and determination.

This series of books about Jess the Sheepdog is another triumph by Lucy Daniels. I was completely hooked from the very first book. A sad storyline at times but very enjoyable read.
