"...a critique of humanism, and a humanism in which men define the norms. Instead the desire is to recover a Christian definition: to discern how women are to be treated in God's terms and to move our society from being one which debases and devalues them to on in which they have dignity, equality, and freedom to be really human."
An oldie but a goodie-although the research was outdated (obviously)Storkey provided a good overall picture of several realms of feminist thought, the formation of feminist thought, and a plausible application to Christianity.

Super informative, the interaction of religion and the feminist movement (I feel) isn’t covered very often so was really interesting to learn!!

SOme of the statistics at the beginning are clearly out of date and some have changed positively and others are still too much the same! But, overall, this is still a great book to get an idea of the different strands of the feminism movement and an appropriate Christian response. I loved this book. It’s still really relevant for today. Especially helpful for me was that it debunked some stuff I had been taught, which I see now was not Biblically aligned.

This book is dated but still has relevant information for someone interested in Christian feminism. I found it very easy to read.
