All roles other than those listed above are being replaced or at least a majority of them by AI.

Patrick Conte is Opsani's chief Commercial Officer. He stated that AI doesn't cause a job shift like AI causes one elsewhere.

Conte provided an example of cloud application optimization. This gives DevOps engineers more time to focus on development and testing, rather than on the complexity and size of the workloads.

AI can help determine the app's size or service-level goals. An engineer or DevOps team might request large space to house their app. The DevOps team should build the app, test it, and then submit the work to site reliability engineering.

SRE positions are changing rapidly due to AI/ML. SRE teams can use ML for optimal performance settings in the production phase.

There are many settings an app or microservice could use (CPU and memory, replicas), so it is important for the system's speed to run the experiments and tests required to determine the optimal combination.

Conte said that humans cannot guess at optimal, while AI and ML are able to find it more consistently and faster than humans.
