About the author

KB Bankston is a rising serial novelist, following in the famous footsteps of her literary idol, VC Andrews. She hails from Tallahassee, FL and now resides in Jonesboro, GA. Having written various works of fiction including short stories and reflective poetry for most of her adult life, Bankston entered the world of commercial publishing in 2008 with her first novel, A Deadly Encounter.

Can I give this book more than a 5 star rating? My, my, my..... Kr Bankston and Elizabeth Lashun have kicked open the door of collaboration, and rocked the house. Talk about jaw- dropping secrets, talk about heart-racing, talk about " what the heck moments". I read this book and I kept saying " what the heck ( simply because I dont cuss, but I want too bad) wooo. Ok let me if I can describe this without giving it away. So how well do you think you know your bff's? I mean really know them, do you share intimate secrets, or just have superficial conversations.... Three the Hard Way... goes a little bit deeper than that. Thier conversations went deeper than superficial, but no where near they should have been. Kierre, LaTavia, and India are best friends who have been there through thick and thin with one another, child-birth, kids parties, ect. But they've never, ever, really talked.
Kierre White is a woman with a secret, and once the revelation can cost her everything that she loves.
India Wilcox is a woman with a secret, and once the revelation is made can cost her more than her way of life.
LaTavia Johnson is a woman with a secret and, once the revelation is made, could almost cost her her life. So what happens when the cover is pulled off all them of them.... they fight back as only they can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all I can say.....GO GET THE BOOK!!! In this story we are introduced to three best friends by the name of Kierre, LaTavia, and India. Each of these women bring a different spice to the story. All three women carries there own deep secret that will change each of there lives. So sit back and get ready for the drama that this story brings because you are surly in for one heck of a treat. Three The Hard Way, was about three friends each with their own problems, yet they find out without each other it's alot harder. LaTavia let her denial destroy her family. India always looking for others approval kept her from love. While Kierre let her past keep her from her future. True friendship stood the test of times and got them all back on track. Two of my favorite authors write a book together it is just what I expected it to be damn good.! This story will keep you on the edge of your seat to see what happens next. Three friends have so much going on in their lives they are ashamed or are too busy to talk about it. Some really deep things are going on in their lives, when I was reading I kept saying why won't they talk too each other but these ladies just would not talk and it got on my nerves. The kind of things going on are the kind of things you would not want anyone to know. I laughed and I cried a lot , I also got really pissed also but what more could I expect from a book by Elizabeth Lashuan and Kr Bankston. If you know the authors you can almost guess who wrote what characters but don't guess too quick you may be wrong. This is a book about friendship , mistakes and how to overcome them. This book will make you feel bad but by the time you read the last page you will be like me and think job well done.

I will admit that I prematurely judged this book in thinking it was going to be typical and predictable and had already decided that the only reason I was reading it was because it was chosen as my bookclub's selection of the month. But boy did I eat my words! Besides some grammatical errors and few things out of place, this was a really good book about friendship, trust and secrets. I wish the end didn't feel so rushed and was more thought out, but it still highlighted that LaTavia, Keirre, and India finally got it!

As always Kr Bankston and Elizabeth LaShaun put it down in this book. Three the Hardway is about three young ladies who were the best of friends but each had secrets of their own and soon all would be brought to the light. Each one struggle with their own issues but still trying to be each others friend. Through all the ups and downs these three ladies go through, they found a new meaning to friendship and honesty. Excellent book!!!!

Three the Hard Way had it all: suspense, drama, and some romance. It starts off by introducing to three best friends each going through different things in their lives. Each one of them will have to come to terms with what is going on in their lives and it shows how they are there for each other no matter what. I was glued to this book from the very first page. KR and Elizabeth definitely delivered on this one and it is a must read!!
