é um livro simples mas detalhado, recomendo imenso para quem está ou quer iniciar o estudo da tarot ou simplesmente tem interesse em saber mais sobre o que é!
fun little tarot overview book, with synchronistic choices for me regarding which decks they chose for certain cards. great to keep on the side when you're doing readings and wanna get a kind of "second opinion" after your own tarot knowledge, intuition, and imagery gleaned off the card itself. sometimes this book gives me interpretations worded in a blunt way which i really need to hear.
nice to keep around and flip to. lots of different cool decks they’ve used to explain the typical card meanings, so getting to see them all presented in one place here is a treat to not only the eyes but to human laziness. 🤪
Another one I used to own. By no means definitive, nor for the serious student, but it is a decent overview of Tarot history, symbolism, meaning, and artwork.
This little Tarot book is what I would refer to as a coffee table book. It is a small, colorful, very high-level introduction to Tarot. I wouldn't say this book is meant for a serious study of Tarot, but even so, I found it to be pretty useful at the beginning of my own Tarot research. Many small books of this nature I have perused don't include Minor Archana meanings, but this one does have a short synopsis of every card in the deck. The way the author gives a brief overview of the history of the cards is clear and pretty well done too, with the exception of some missing known dates to better frame the overall timeline described. One great feature of this little book is it does use a variety of decks in its examples, a nice preview to the artwork of a dozen or so packs. I definitely want to acquire The Wonderland Deck (1989) someday, love the look of it! I checked this book out of our library, but wouldn't mind having one for my own collection if I can find an inexpensive used copy.
very short but detailed book that covers sooo much about tarot! history, descriptions of every card, multiple references to all of the different decks there are, and an awesome list of spreads with demonstrations on how they’d work :))
