Great selection of art, good country-by-country and artist-by-artist history of art nouveau. Very linear and complete. However, the interior layout of the book leaves a little to be desired: tiny fonts, unattributed quotes, and a little too much on most pages compromise Fahr-Becker's work. In addition, while the writing is perfectly fluent and scholarly, it feels like the work of someone whose first language is not English.

Great history of an incredible movement. Very daring and inclusive: everyone from Munch to Frank Lloyd Wright features here.

Pretty standard coffee table-style overview of one of my favorite movements in the modern era of art. Nothing groundbreaking, but worth having as a reference, especially at $20.
