Lynne Truss is a writer and journalist who started out as a literary editor with a blue pencil and then got sidetracked. The author of three novels and numerous radio comedy dramas, she spent six years as the television critic of The Times of London, followed by four (rather peculiar) years as a sports columnist for the same newspaper. She won Columnist of the Year for her work for Women's Journal. Lynne Truss also hosted Cutting a Dash, a popular BBC Radio 4 series about punctuation. She now reviews books for the Sunday Times of London and is a familiar voice on BBC Radio 4. She lives in Brighton, England.
As mentioned before, I had read this series out of order, which I don’t recommend. It was this book, book 2 in the series that changed my mind about how I felt about the series. This book put things into perspective for me. It was interesting to read Twitten and Mrs G relationship, and how it is what makes the series work. Definitely unconventional. As I have read book 3, I now skip to book 4 Psycho by the Sea.
I really couldn't get into this book, I find the style hard to read and doesn't flow well for me. The story itself is really good and the characters are interesting, I could even see it being an interesting show but just really struggle to make it through the book
I found it very confusing, so many characters and stories and the point of view kept changing mid chapter. It was a good story and I liked the people, just a bit much.
