Drumming For Ogun

This is the story of a boy who discovers his relationship with the mighty African god, the Orisha Ogun – one of the gods who helped prepare earth for humankind. When Kalim and Uncle George go to a Tambour or Drumming (an invitation for the Orishas to come and talk with people) Ogun appears.
The second book in the series, “Living with the Orishas”, that teach children about the Yoruba or Lucumi religion and the Orishas. Drumming for Ogun and the other books in the series are wonderful for children growing up in the African Religious traditions or those who want to learn about other cultures and belief systems.
