Recent Installments seem plot-thin

Might just be me; with so much intrigue and covert dealings involving family and international skulduggery, exactly what the charitable organization was doing seemed ephemeral to me, although the idea of using hand crafting patterns tickled me
Great.

Agent Emma Griffin's latest story has a whole different feel to it. She starts out being attacted and having to recover yet she can't seem to not work. Despite not being back to herself, she still does her best to help solve the new case.

I absolutely love how much Xavier adds to solving the cases and this time is no different. Along with Sam they make an excellent team. Dean is there but not a lot. Emma may be a super agent but she gets help from them and it's nice that they have each other and are not totally consumed by their work.

The excitement kept me anxious while reading this. It's wonderful how the two cases that come into the story have ties to each other. Emma is gutsy and quick on her feet, I love how she deals with Psycho! Emma's experience and ability to remember things help her connect the dots in this case.

It's another great book in the Emma Griffin series. Each book that is added to the series only helps readers know more about the characters and past. This story is no different and I can't wait to see what Emma will be investigating next.

Read 2024 - I read the first 21 books back in 2022 so getting back into this series and remember everyone and all that has happened was tough but I enjoy reading about Emma.

This book was just a bit hard to follow along. It starts with one attack after another on Emma by unknown assailant(s) - it’s never established who attacked her. But then Xavier gets Emma, Sam and Dean to join this charity organization to show them there is still some good in the world. After joining, 3 women are killed one after the other. Turns out, they were working for the group called Rescue. The same group that Emma’s mother was apart of. Two other women from the charity who were also apart of Rescue happened to turn on Rescue and were the ones who killed the three women.

I thought the killings would be related to Emma’s attacks but she says she doesn’t think so the question remains - who attacked Emma…twice?

This book was okay, just not one of my favorites. I still love reading about Xavier though and his and Emma’s friendship.

Too many riddles

I actually got a little bored with this book. There were too many riddles. Too many times of Emma refusing medical help and Emma being "extra".

Too many vague clues. We still don't know the mission of the missing agent and why he was involved with the group.

Too many times of Emma running inside to be the hero by herself and getting beat up.

We still don't know who or why she got beat to a pulp at the beginning of the book. And how can everyone get into her home? Really? 20 books later and still getting to her at home and in the hospital? Come on!

I did find the crafting clues a bit amusing. Points for this new story vehicle but just too many clues left me clueless and bored.

I always enjoy getting to revisit Emma, Sam, Dean, Xavier, Eric and Belle. Emma ends up in the hospital and after she gets released Xavier takes her to a crochet group he found. Someone from the group gets murdered and Emma is on the case.
Bodies soon start piling up. The case brings up things from Emma's past, as well as people.

I loved this book. This was the bad ass Emma that the series started with. Plus, the book ended on a cliffhanger. If you like mysteries, thrillers, or FBI/Police Procedurals, you need to read the Emma Griffith FBI Series.

😊 Happy Birthday 😊

This was an outstanding book. It actually helped me understand why the “retro series” was created. The book especially appealed to me because I belong to a Knitting and Crochet group that also donates many of our creations! Like all of “The Girl who” series, it was full of suspense and it was hard to put down. I enjoyed that Xavier was able to figure out the ciphers in the needlework. And poor Emma just can’t stay out of the hospital! Can’t wait for what comes next this year in the series.

Loved every one

I have read every book in the Emma Griffin series and absolutely love them. A.J Rivers has a way of allowing the reader to become completely engrossed in the stories, characters, and even fancy themselves a detective as we work our way through the book and figure out the mystery. The end is usually a surprise and I find myself hungry for the next book like a kid counting down the seconds to lunch break. Thank you, A.J, keep them coming!

The Girl and the Deadly Secrets( Emma Griffin FBI Mystery Book 22)

OMG!!!!!!!!!! This was one of the best books I have read in quite a while, I loved every twist and turn, it just kept me guessing. I would never have guessed who the murders were and why they did it. I am happy that the story led back to Emma's mother and the special work she did when she was alive. I truly hope there are more stories to come.

Rushed Plot

I love AJ Rivers but this book left me feeling duped, the story line made no sense, none at all something was missing, at the end I was just confused- I also do not appreciate the addition of swear words in her earlier books there was none of that and nothing is gained by adding cussing. Not a fan of this change it is not needed! Not sure if I am looking forward to the next installment or not this was highly anticipated but a major let down.

Good deeds gone wrong

Emma gets reintroduced to a piece of past in an interesting way. Who knew that knitting and croche could be a vital piece of covert operations? After visiting a workshop and considering helping their mission in someway, one of the leaders of the charity is murdered and they call Xavier first who calls Emma. It just gets stranger from there, the people behind the murders in this book think they can out-smart Emma and we all know the answer to that.

I would give this book a 2 1/2 star rating. After book 21 I quit reading the series for a while because I felt like all of the books were ending but not ending. It just set you up for a wild Goose chase into the next book that never ended with that book. I have several other series by this author on my to read list, that I think I’m going to delete all of them because I’m going to guess the other series that she has are going to be the same writing style that they go on forever.

Finally Here

It took me a while to finish this book, not because it was bad or anything but life got real. I will say coming back to it after some time made me really excited to just finish it, and I don’t regret that! I feel like I received a lot of answers I had in the Retro series and I’m curious where this next season will go! Always excited to see what Emma and the gang solve next!

A bit disjointed. Kept waiting for additional physical trauma through the book as she kept getting head injuries while investigating. Confused how they are all back living in Emma's house after retro books gave that to Dean and xavier and they moved into Sam's parents place. Also had difficulty the whole coding thing and the guys on the plane

Plenty of action, murders, secret codes, charity, double agents

This book has plenty of action, starting with a charity knitting scarves hats, blankets and more. The book ended up being way to busy for me to keep up with. The story was busy enough to keep me interested, but ended up being very confusing.

Welcome back, Emma!

After a fun mini series set in the 80s, the side effects of her coma, Emma Griffin is back to present day and her usual go-get-em self. This was an especially good book with lots of action and convoluted clues. Loved it!

Emma is back!

It’s so nice to have Emma back. She always has a lot of twists to resolve and her stories are so interesting, and the way this one intertwines with cases from the past is great for closure. Love Ms Rivers’ other character’s stories, but Emma is my favorite.

extremely compelling

I like this book a lot. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Funny thing is I don’t know if I totally understood it. Lots of unanswered questions at the end. Would have liked a summary. Emma will be back. Yay

Emma does it again

Love this series. Another great read by AJ Rivers. I just wish Emma didn’t get hurt so much but I know that’s what keeps us on the edge of our seats. Loved the storyline and her close family and all they bring to the story, especially X.

Jarring

When is a charity a disguise? From Heart to Heart does so much good in the community so why are the principals dying like flies? Who would’ve wanted them dead? And can Emma solve it in time to save one of them? Excellent as always.

Emma Griffin FBI Mystery Book 22

This book continues with the Emma Griffin series. As usual A. J. Rivers keeps the story lines moving with the mystery of who done it. If you have the other books in this series, you will want to read this one also.

Another Exciting Book

AJ Rivers is just amazing in how she can craft and weave so many characters and stories into very real and current events we see. You just need to read each book and sit back to enjoy the ride.
