Should I read in order?
I would say yes. Her Alien Warrior series and Treasures of Trillume series are rather intertwined. I’d love for her to come out with the perfect reading order at some point. The romance itself can be read as a stand alone but there’s a lot of world building and character mentions of other stories. Ideally, I would read Her Alien Exchange, Jewel of the Alien Bandit and Her Alien Prince to get the best understanding of the politics, cultures and world building.

Basic plot:
Riley joins the Human Exchange Trade because there is nothing left for her on Earth – when her vessel is hijacked, she finds herself relying on warrior Direl.

Staring at the numbers highlighted on the screen above my head, I took in a breath and sat down.

My thoughts:
This is another truly immersive scifi romance by Robert! I am finding these complex and deep with a decent amount of character depth and lush world building.

I love the idea of the Human Exchange Trade and mates being found that way so I was really excited for this novel. Direl is such a sweetie – so gentle, protective and takes time when Riley needs it. Riley is smart and strong and is an amazing addition to the fight for what is right among these alien races. The beginning of the book had so much that I loved and I really enjoyed getting to know both our mains in the first quarter.

There were a few things here I don’t think I was in the mood for at this time – I felt a bit overwhelmed with all the world politics and wanted more focus on just Riley and Direl (definitely just a personal preference). I know we also had alternating chapters between the two mains, but I felt like we didn’t get as much from Direl and I always want more hero.

A few minor things I wasn’t a fan of – the med bay necia offering herself to the hero, the heroine kissing another warrior as a distraction, after the duel the heroine having to lick the blood from her defeated foe, the way Nen-Le and Direl fight over Riley the first scene and it turns into an FFM scene...

Now, part of it is just me adjusting to this alien race. Exhibitionism and confidence in nudity are big for their races and I am still pretty new to that as a kink so maybe I am just getting used to it. For me, there’s a bit too much sharing among the mains.

The FFM scene I could have really loved but I think it was the uncertainty behind it all that stopped me from being all in. There were these lingering feelings of is she (Nen-Le) good? Is she bad? And the competition between Nen-Le nad Direl – I think if they had agreed on it from the beginning I could have relaxed a little with the scene but as it was I think I was just too tense??

All that said, I still enjoyed a lot about this one and am really excited for more from Robert. I feel like she’s building a truly unique alien world and culture dynamic here that I haven’t come across yet in science fiction and I love that!


Cock/Hero Stats/World building:

- Trillume species (a side character specifies) have no hair, even the females and must wear masks to thrive with Earth’s oxygen
- Necia species (hero’s species) are warriors and are known for being a bit rough
- Necia have large spikes called epuls on their bodies (shoulders,) and are considered living weapons.
- Necia females are aggressive and territorial over their males and many times stronger
- on Trillume quadrants have been created on the planet to support various species by using forcefield nano nets that control the environment
- Necias have 2 hearts
- Males go into rut
- Necia speak Cial (heroine trained in it for a year before entering the program)
- They have a thick dermis and lethal secondary skeletagl structure, long hair that is only cut during battle or used in braiding talismans for their tribe
- They have strong senses of hearing and smell and can hear the blood pumping through veins
- They have fangs and claim mates by sharing blood
- Eyes are a golden amber color similar to citrine
- They go into rut when their reputation as a warrior is challenged or they accomplish a victory (it’s used to have a public display of pleasure for other warriors to view their prowess)
- To calm down rut, they will ‘bathe’ with each other (NOTE: There is a scene where a side character basically fingers herself and rubs it in the hero’s mouth as an offering
- Female necia have spikes all over their bodies
- Only female necia warrios have veno to help them claim their mates
- Cock is curved with nodules along the shaft and 2 tiny nubs at the base that stimulate the clit
- necia males have a knot
- when mating, there is some blood play/drinking each others blood – the human heroine ends up losing her canines and growing larger fangs to help her feed

Love the touch her and die vibes from the get go

I rubbed at my wrists, my once captor gently scooped them both up in his large hands and kissed my bruises from his tight hold as if in apology, before the whole scene was cut short with the smell of burning flesh.
It wasn’t mine.
I glanced around Chuel to see my cell companion struggling against his bonds, uncaring of how the straps around his neck, biceps, wrists, and calves sizzled with electricity coursing through him. His once amber eyes were black, and terrifying, making me stumble back in alarm.
Chuel caught me about the waist, and the fury of my criminal companion intensified, only now horns grew out of his scalp pointing downwards that must be some sort of exoskeleton defense of the necia, but I was more worried about the pain the warrior was going to feel, after all the shocks to his system he was getting for moving within restraints that would have kileld a human instantly.

Safe sex? There is mention of female space condoms (they are folded and slipped inside and they melt with the body heat to create a film that is a barrier to the uterus. Eggs still fall through but it prevents the seed from getting to the egg.

Overall: How I felt about it everything considered!
Readability: How ‘readable’ was the book? Did I fly through it? Did I have to tell myself to pick it back up repeatedly? Were any passages confusing?
Feels: Totally subjective to each person but did the book give me any tingles? Any butterflies? Did it rip my heart out (in a good way?)
Emotional depth: How well do I feel I know the characters at the end? How much did I feel their emotions throughout the story?
Sexual tension: Again, subjective, but how strong was the wanting and longing to me between the characters? A book might have strong sexual tension without a single touch.
Romance: Was there romance? Did romantic things happen? This can be actions/words/thoughts of the characters and again is subjective.
Sensuality: This is how the intimate scenes are written. Kisses and sexual scenes – how sensual were they? Were they on the mechanical side? Was there emotional pull tied in? Were the details explicit or flowery? These are subjective but generally (1) too short to get a good judgement (2) not all what I'm looking for - very vague or flowery prose (3) either not explicit enough or not enough emotional pull (too mechanical/physically descriptive without the emotions) (4) what I love in a scene (5) absolute perfection - perfect balance of emotional longing and explicit descriptions
Sex Scene Length: How long the bedroom scenes are (generally (1) is 1-3 sentences (2) is a few paragraphs to a page-ish (3) is about average, a few pages (4) more well developed scenes, quite a few pages with descriptions (4) the majority of the book takes place in the bedroom. This is always hard to tell for me on audio!
Steam Scale: Generally, each flame is a scene. If scenes are super close together I sometimes combine them. If a scene is super short or so vague I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t count it. There’s some levels of grey but generally the number of flames is how many sex scenes there are (I max out at 5 so I’ll put a + after if there’s more than that)

Riley had nothing to loose by signing up for the Alien Exchange program. She had no family to keep her back so she thought she could help out other species. Unfortunately her shuttle was hijacked and her whole life changed from that point on. Direl, the Necias Prime warrior who was told Riley was contracted by a war criminal, wants her to help him infiltrate, and apprehend her contractor but alas things don't go the way he planned either. These 2 have many challenges thrown their way along with coming to terms with being fated mates.
This was a nice installment to the series. I did get lost alittle bit with some of the political story line and wished there was more fated mate (and conflict) story to get lost in. This is the third book I have had the joy of being an ARC reader for and look forward to more.

Riley, on the other hand, is tough, accepting, and caring, surprising Direl with her fearlessness and ability to stand up to him. As they get to know one another, their relationship deepens with passionate claiming scenes and intense moments, including primal play, exhibitionism, knotting, blood bond, and more. Lots of action, adventure, and intrigue in this hot and steamy alien-human romance.

Sky Robert has the signature of giving you some twists and turns; just when you think you had the story figure out, she throws them at you. It's like a rollercoaster ride for your brain! And let me tell you, the surprises are absolutely delicious and exhilarating!

Now, we've got excitement, romance, and some "passionate" claiming scenes 😉 ! Oh, la la! This book has it all. It's giving me a spicy cocktail of emotions and action.

It gets even better! The characters in this story have strong personalities. Direl, the hunky male lead, is patient like a saint, even during his rut. He's willing to wait until Riley is ready to be claimed or do the claiming herself! Talk about a modern alien guy! 😄

And when things finally get heated between Riley and Direl, sparks fly like fireworks on the 4th of July. They go at it like there's no tomorrow - no holding back, no awkwardness, just pure f🍒*ng and claiming. 👏

Of course, the story ends with a satisfying happily ever after, but guess what? There's a little twist in the last chapter that teases a big new adventure on the horizon. 😉

I want to give this more stars, really.

There’s plenty of really thoughtful intergalactic drama here, especially in terms of what we should really be considering if we’re serious about hoping aliens come here—and with what motivation for a planet full of so many ignorant people who can barely get ourselves to the moon or Mars, let alone across a galaxy. Are we really ready, considering how our own world is run by greedy arseholes, crooked politicians, the oligarchs who own them, and the uneducated boobies who fight on their sides and against their own interests? (I’m looking at you, MAGATs and Repukes…)

Yeah, and they appear to simply scratch the surface of the duplicity here, with obvious sequels in mind. I usually complain when a book is truncated with further sales the obvious goal, but can’t make that complaint here as this story is complicated and a long read. There’s obviously a LOT of the story left to tell but Riley’s tale was hardly left unfinished, and this can stand alone despite the teaser of more to come.

What I DO have to complain about, however, is the poor editing job (hence only 3 stars). There are superfluous commas everywhere, wrong homonyms used, words and letters missing, run-on sentences, sentence fragments, and places where these messes yanked me out of the story one page after another (if not two to a page). It definitely detracted from my enjoyment.

Will I read this author again? Yup. I just hope there’s more polish before they’re released…

This book is very detailed and at times confusing. You are given a lot of details on the different species, customs, languages, rulings etc. Some of this was really hard to understand and maybe a little to much information. yet the more you read the book the more it all falls into place. there are several characters you need to keep track of but not so many it overwhelms the story. The bathing customs are very interesting and there are some similarities to vampires as well. Riley being caught up in a plan that was put in place to use her in many different ways was always twisting and turning. I thought there were some unanswered questions still out there too. Direl also was being manipulated most of the book. Their story seems to be complete yet THE story is not and with the facts going in so many directions and others not knowing just guessing what is or has happened this story goes on. A very good Sci-fi book. Romance is kinda a part of it but if you NBC are a Sci-fi fan you will love this book. If you just want a romance book to read you might wanna pass.

For readers that want to read alien smut with plot, this book is a must read.

The story was filled with lots of elements and mystery that unpacked slowly yet felt fast. The plot was well driven and the story had me absolutely smitten but at some times i got lost and confused.

Both the main characters were a bit flawed and had their share of problems but they banded together and fought for each other.

I loved how the FMC was a weapon dancer and able to overpower the MMC. Go girl!!!

I enjoyed reading the book.

This is a great read and it had it all drama, action, betrayal, politics, kidnapping criminal activity are just a few things that will have the reader enjoying every page they turn. Riley is a human that is part of the Human Exchange Trade Program when the shuttle she is on gets hijacked by Necia warriors and she is told that Klemon is a criminal and she will help Commander Direl infiltrate and help him apprehend them all but things go wrong and they end up in a cell. Commander Direl is after Klemon the criminal and his men so he has hijacked the shuttle with the human on board to use her to get close to him and so she is injected with nano bug trackers but he is drugged and betrayed by the King Sylve and now wakes up in a cell with Riley but his attraction to her is setting off the symptoms of the rut his kind have with there mates. How does it all turn out in the end and do they get their HEA or not.

Riley is trying to get off earth. She has gone through a lot of studying to sign up for a chance. When she gets her appointment she finds she has been chosen by a scientist. Meanwhile a necea named Direl. He was sent on a mission to find if illegal activities were being done on the planet his former leader/king resided. Only upon landing he is taken prisoner. When he awakens he smells Riley and is drawn to her. Then his treacherous former friend injects her with nanobots which will track her and allow him to destroy her upon completion of his mission. Now they need to figure out how to retake Direl's ship and stop a rebellion that will cause a war. But what will become of the pull between him and Riley?
Excitement galore!.

This story that is about Riley a human and Commander Direl a Necia warrior was a very enjoyable alien romance to read. Riley signed up to the Human Exchange Trade hoping to be adopted by an alien family. Riley gets chosen by Klemon to go to Trillume only on her way there her shuttle gets boarded by Necia warriors. Riley finds out she's been adopted to a Trill that's a criminal. Direl was betrayed and drugged unconscious by King Sylve. Direl awakens with restrain cuffs on him and in a cell with Riley. He finds himself drawn toward her and experiencing the systems of the rut. What occurs afterwards is an engaging, action-packed, romantic story I enjoyed and devoured. Loved our couple and their chemistry in this copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

Amazing story. Riley has decided to take a job off planet as she has no one to stay on Earth for. She gets a placement with a scientist who is researching humans and other species of aliens. While on the transport they are abducted by necia outlaws who wanted to get the Trillumes to back off their new planet. Direl is a necia warrior for the Trillumes and his ship is used to abduct the humans. Ditels secind in command has sided with the outlaws and he takes over the ship and Direl is a prisioner. Direl and Riley are kept in a room where. Direl finds out shes his mate. He and Riley work together to get away from the outlaws and get to Trillume. Loved reading their story. Thanx.

Sky Robert has once again written a delightful book. The world building, just like all of her other books is spectacular. I found nothing lacking when it came to the characters and their depth. Loved Riley’s strong but cheeky feminine vibes and Direl was also quite endearing. His big, strong and protective persona scratched that itch for me. The sex was hot and so well written like the rest of the book, but I find I really enjoy the storyline in every Sky Robert book that I read and to me that’s just as important as the smut. If you love a well written smutty alien fantasy romance then this one is for you!.

Riley has trained up as best as she can (learning alien languages, etc), for she wants to be chosen for the exchange program (where she will go to an alien planet). When Direl meet Riley, he feels a huge attraction to her, but Riley is hesitant to help him (for he could be an alien criminal for all she knows). I loved how their story just pulls you in, their banter/interactions, attraction and the intriguing world(s) that make this story come to life. I loved both Riley, who might be small but packs a punch, and Direl who knows he wants Riley and will protect her but needs to convince her.

Sky Robert’s Her Alien Savior is an amazing romantic adventure in space. Riley is infertile and agrees to sign up to travel into space to study how various alien races reproduce. She unknowingly is recruited by the banished Necia princess but is found out by the banished prince who wants revenge on the Trill who took over his planet. Mercian warrior Direl was supposed to pilot the ship Riley is on but is tricked by a disloyal warrior who has allowed the Prince to take over the ship. Upon meeting human Riley, his rut is triggered! The world building and character development is astounding! Read for yourself to find out how it all ends!

Fighting for her mate

Riley the one-year recruit to an alien research project isn't prepared for the double-dealing, double crossing, spy vs. spy interstellar mess she's plunged into when she wakes from stasis. Meeting a magnetically handsome, spiky, outcast Necian warrior/pirate only complicated things, especially when their mutual attraction wars with their mutual distrust. In this insanely steamy and uber-angsty love story, nothing is what it seems, least of all her honor-obsessed alien, and only the love of the true mate bond sorts it all out. Whew!! It's a crazy-good read.

Very Exciting Book

What an adventure this was! Political intrigue, spaceship mutiny, scheming crew mates and one totally oblivious human female kept me enthralled from the beginning. I really liked Riley but thought she was a little naive when others explained what was really going on. Direl held it together way better than I thought he would, especially when his crew mate tried and darn near succeeded in claiming Riley for herself. Whew was that scene tense! I can’t wait to read more in this series.

4.5 Strong Human Female Meets Her Perfect Match

I really enjoyed the story of Riley & Direl. Both are strong warriors & the perfect match. There is a fun surprise toward the end of the book that made me happy. I don’t particularly like FF or FFM scenes, so that part wasn’t as enjoyable for me to read, but others may like it. I enjoyed the rest of the book, though. If you like fated mates & alien romances with exhibitionism, this book is for you.

This is an exciting continuation of the series. It can be read as a stand alone but definitely best enjoyed if you've read the other books. There are a lot of characters to learn about. Plenty of political intrigue and plotting. There is undeniable chemistry between the main characters. And don't forget the steamy hot rituals that the Necia perform!.

This is a fast paced spicy, alien romance, that I enjoyed reading. The storylines well written interest, trailer with characters that are engaging and have a wonderful chemistry together. I loved Riely and Direl together they were great together. Their story had plenty of action intrigue adventure plotting fated mates hot alpha male steam romance and love. It’s a great story that I highly recommend.

I will start by saying that this story is definitely for mature readers only. It also should contain some trigger warnings. There is a scene that is manage and I really didn't like that the characters mostly the females use substances get what they want. There is what I considered cheating but at least you get a HEA. The Hero was a sweet and caring the heroine I didn't care to much for her. There are some hole plots but it maybe that they are answered in the next book of the series. The intense storyline and world building continues!! Will the nanobot infertility be solved without war?

Riley is a human who is part of a year-long alien exchange program with Princess Klemon , whose research it turns out, has been the cause of international infertility. Direl is a necia Commander who was duped by his second in command (Chuel) and his ex King Sylve. Sylve is angry that Direl went along with the Trill’s plans and wants to use and discard Direl once he successfully finds the Princess. Direl knows instantly that Riley is his mate but they are thrown together to defeat the Trill who defeated the Necia previously. King Sylve wants to push Princess Klemon to take her mother, the Queen out of power and become head of the Galactic Trill Authority.

Riley is more than she seems, having trained in secret to be a warrior in her own right. She is strong for a human yet weakened; not only by limited information about the aliens and their culture, but also due to being injected with nanobots that may be lethal. She is also being semi controlled after the exchange of Necia blood with a female warrior who also wants Riley for her own. Direl maybe a noble, strong commander and warrior but is a cinnamon roll hero for Riley. There is lots of action, twists, and uncertainties that take you on a wild journey. Often circumstances were beyond their control (which rings so true in life) yet they love and support each other even while their cultures are very distinct from each other. A fantastic read!!.

Riley, a human female joined an alien exchange program to ease her guilt. She wasn’t looking for love and neither was Direl, but love found them. Their cultures were different so misunderstandings caused issues of trust, disappointment and regret. They have a lot to work though and danger to face. This story contains in the next book.

This well-written Book 1 in The Necia Alien Warriors Book Series has an entertaining story and unique characters with believable interactions and strong chemistry. This story has a well-crafted world, intrigue, action, twists, turns, fated mates, and love. This is a must read for those who love Alien Romances.

Riley is abducted by a rebel King who leaves her locked in a room with Direl who is smitten by Riley and will risk anything including breaking free of painful electrified chains to be with her. Can’t wait to read more in the series!.

This is the first book o have read from this author and it was epic. This was full of an adventure , action, twist, steam, mates, and the feels that will make you swoon.I cannot wait to read the next book and see Ashley get her story.

This book packed a punch, with intrigue, and political backstabbing the storyline. I admit I found it quite easy to get lost as to what was going on, the story big on descriptive flair. Story was well written, but I found a huge typo where a whole paragraph had found its way into the story again, on the next page.

I am loving this world that she created. The characters manage to keep my interest and surprise me. I enjoy when I can't predict what will happen. I am looking forward to reading the rest of these stories. I've only read four of them so far. If you enjoy not being able to put the story down, being surprised at what the characters do, and a well made world, these are the stories for you.
