'MY DAD IS TRULY A MAN AMONGST MEN' - TYSON FURY

'A knockout account of his wild and wayward life' – The Sun

Get up close and personal with Big John Fury, Gypsy Warrior and the inspiration and driving force behind boxing champion Tyson Fury.

If you’re six foot three like me, twenty stone, and you like to stand up for yourself, you’re gonna get into trouble, aren’t ya? If you’ve got Fury DNA, you’re not shy of a fight. I’ll have a fight with anybody. Win, lose or draw. I’m out there, shirt off, done and dusted. I'm a traveller, a bare knuckle boxer and my life has been anything but ordinary. Now I'm setting the record straight.

From Netflix's At Home With The Furys this is the Gypsy Warrior, unfiltered and in his own words. When Fury Takes Over is the insider story of the family, from Tyson and Paris Fury to Tommy and Molly-Mae Hague, and an honest and unforgettable look at the Gyspy way of life.

I really enjoyed reading about John’s life — he’s had an interesting life for sure! This was really easy to read and a good mix between stories about the fighting world and his personal life. I loved the emphasis he put on family and God in getting him through hard times.

A great story of the life of Tyson Fury's dad John.

Yes he is known most commonly as Tyson and Tommy Fury's dad, but this is his own story to tell about his life and his upbringing and what he values most. It was a very humbling and honest read. He's had a difficult childhood, always fighting before fighting professionally, and it was nice to read that although his family have plenty of money, he isn't bothered about that.

A really interesting read and lovely to see how passionate he is about his family and the things that mean the most to him. Great book.

I did enjoy this book
I think john fury comes across as a very likable person in this, and has some very good sensible takes on life. I have heard from people who have met him in person that he is how this auto biography portrays him.
I felt that him telling the story's of the great boxers of the past was just to fill pages but it will be interesting for people who perhaps don't know as much about boxings history.
I enjoyed him telling his life's story

I really enjoyed this. I enjoyed John's candidness, humour, and his wisdom. A very multi-faceted man. Despite being known as the father of one of the greatest heavyweight champions and as a fighter himself, John shows off his sensitive side along with hobbies of history and Hammer Horror films. Highly recommended.
