Sloan Morgan's life is pretty perfect. A loving husband of ten years, David. Her lifelong best friend, Amanda, and her husband, Kyle. Days are filled with a career she loves, game nights, and drinking on weekends. Who could ask for anything more?
That is until she is kidnapped by three sexy men. With her hands bound and a bag over her head, she knows she is going to die. Then she hears his voice on the phone...her husband.
Mykel, Axel & Tryp are the deadly hitmen Sloan's husband hired to kill her. Little does he know, they don't kill women and children. When Sloan sees the three sexy killers in front of her will she fall for them or become one of them? Or both?
Then she proposes a counteroffer they can't refuse.
Now the only question is when you have three sexy hitmen who all want you... why choose?
MAJOR SPOILERS Let’s start w the fact that she was loyal and faithful to her husband who sucks and as she cries over him every day after she is kidnapped she is also banging and madly in love w her kidnappers? Makes no sense. Then on top of this, she is the most cringey person to read about in bed. The smut is written like you would imagine a 18 year old thinks sex is between adults. Then the random plot twist of one of them being a 30 year old virgin and waiting for her? The plot twist that one is the guys is her friends husband and he was madly in love w her ?
Idk it was just hard and unbelievable (not that books reflect real life but this was dramatically nonsensical)
Also the typos were atrocious. And I quote “I look at David and his in his eyes…” and “how wet you look I’m hard” and the constant forgetfulness of quotes but someone is talking.
Also !!! The FMC is whiny. She’s 32 but ran away from them bc she doesn’t like what he says ? But she loves him? And literal running from him stomp stomp pout “you said you didn’t want to bang me”.
THE KICKER TO THIS - she didn’t know what a spatula was! Bffr

Was this written by a hormone-crazed teenager? Picked up this book during a stuff your Kindle event, so I knew it was unlikely to be some hidden gem. It appears to have been edited precisely zero times. Yes it's dark and filled with smut, but ugh. Just ugh.
2.5 stars. HOLY TYPOS! Goodness this one was rough to get through. The story concept was really intriguing and kept me from not dnfing but goodness between the grammar issues, typos and continuity problems this book left me super underwhelmed.
If you are looking for a quick, dark, and spicy read then this book is for you!! I really enjoyed the storyline and the journey the FMC went through…it was fast paced and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat at times! I will say you get insta love throughout this book so if that’s not your thing then this book may not be for you.
2.5⭐️ I can't tell you how many times I rolled my eyes. 🙄 I was so excited to read it, then couldn't wait to finish it. I almost DNF within the first chapter but decided to continue after I saw how the 2nd chapter started.
‼️Spoilers‼️
Things I HATED --
1. The writing. ● There were several parts where the author didn't say who's talking. Sometimes it's obvious, others, it's not. ● The author has multiple people talking in the same paragraph. ● All of the "and"'s used. 🤦🏼♀️ Especially in one sentence. ● It is, he is, I am, was not, does not, we will, etc. (instead of it's, he's, I'm, wasn't, doesn't, we'll, etc.). Gosh, this was the MOST annoying! I felt like I was going to have a stroke reading it. 😐 ● Angel, Sweetheart, Little Devil, Little Bug, Tryp, Mykel, Kyson... Overused. Annoying. And the spelling of the names. I don't know why, but it rubbed me wrong. It's like someone is wanting attention by giving themselves such a "cool" nickname with "unique" spelling. ● The descriptions of the characters suck. I literally have a million and one different ideas just for Axel. Please give me a proper description. I want to be able to view them clearly in my mind. ● We got a peak at Amanda's and David's POV, but never got Kyle/Kyson's, Tryp's, Axel's, or Mykel's. WHY? Who cares about the first two, we want the MMC's POV's!!
2. MFC is beyond stupid and naive. ● How are you not going to see your best friend and husband sleeping together? It was extremely obvious. There were a lot of signs. ● It took her forever to understand Kyle was Kyson. I mean... They literally greeted him and welcomed him back and called him Kyson. You really needed someone to spell it out for you? 🤦🏼♀️
3. Smut. I'm all for smut. Hell, I rarely read books without it. But this wasn't good. I started skipping the scenes altogether. ● Again, the descriptions weren't there. Not enough detail. Not long enough. ● It was just boring. Nothing exciting.
4. You'd think the guys would make the counteroffer... Like "baby, it's okay. We can go k!ll him for you, if you want?" But NO. She had to be the one to step up and mention it. That was disappointing.
5. How quickly they "fell in love." You get kidnapped and, what, a few days later, it's a bunch of "I love you"'s?! This was annoying. At least give it a little more umph first. They didn't even seem to know each other yet. 🙄 (No, I don't believe in love at first sight).
6. Childishness. The writing, spelling, the characters, they're "acting", etc.. It all just seemed so childish to me. I can't stand it. They're all supposed to be adults, so act like it, maybe?
7. Axel k!lls people with a knife to the heart. Disappointing. I like my books as black as my soul. 🤣 And this lacked a lot! That's the easiest (and kindest) way to off someone. Where's the torture? The painful deaths? The millions of other ways to do it?!
OKAY... Now for the 2.5⭐️ rating..
The things I LIKED --
1. When they taunt and k!ll Darius. 🔥 The girl finally had some fire in her. Enjoying this scene shows I have some loose 🔩's. 🤷🏼♀️🤣
2. When they FINALLY start taking revenge on Amanda and David. The tires, the cabinets, the hot water, etc. Little things at first, but it was still enjoyable after how shitty they were.
3. WHEN KYLE BECOMES KYSON. 🔥 I was extremely mad that she and Kyle never hooked up, especially after the comment he made. But damn, it was worth the wait. This was something I wasn't expecting.
4. "What are you going to do, little whøre? Get on your knees? It's really the only thing you're good at." - Mykel. YESSSS. Put that b!tch in her place.
This book could have been great, but man. It was like the author took every dark romance trope possible, shoved them into a blender, and hit purée—then crammed it all into less than 300 pages. The result? Pure chaos.
We start with two suburban couples—besties, BBQs, the whole thing. Until, surprise! The FMC’s best friend is sleeping with her husband. Husband’s solution? Hire hitmen to kidnap and unalive his wife. Honestly, solid setup. I was intrigued.
But then… enter the magical pussy.
The second she’s kidnapped, the hitmen are obsessed. Within five pages, they’ve given her pet names, are professing their love, and she’s already drooling over them. And, of course, they start fucking immediately. That’s totally normal, right?!
Oh, and plot twist: one of these three deadly hitmen is a virgin—in his 30s—but just knows this woman is “his” forever. Sure. Totally believable.
Then we switch gears again. Now the FMC suddenly wants to know every detail about what these guys do. But not just that—she wants in. And before you can even blink, she’s turned into stabby Joe, no hesitation, no struggle—just full-blown, ride-or-die assassin mode. Oh, and then she immediately fucks the guys again. Because why not?
I will say—the pranks they pull on the cheating husband and best friend? HILARIOUS. Easily the best part of the book.
Fast forward (not really, because this book is so short), and we get to the revenge part. The FMC insists on taking charge—fine, fine—but then, shocker, the cheating husband was part of the hitmen gang all along. And once again, the magical pussy comes into play, because after some light torture, she decides, “You know what? Let’s fuck him too.”
So, was the spice good? Yes. But for a reverse harem? Not enough group action. There doesn’t need to be MM, but if it’s RH, I need more men doting on the woman at the same time. Not just one-on-one sessions.
Overall, this book tried to do way too much in too little time. If it had been longer, maybe it could have worked. But as it stands? Hard pass.

Wtf did I just read? Like, for real. The four hitmen were the most likeable and decent people of the main characters. The FMC is just as bad as her cheating [ex]husband that hired the men, but her supposed best friend is the worst. Honestly, I only kept reading to find out what happened to Kyle, the traitorous BFF's husband, because he seemed like a good guy.
Honestly, I'd probably have liked this better, if it was lust with strong like, but the way FMC falls in love with her kidnappers so quickly was unbelievable to me since she was written as being in love and faithful to her husband (like she even feels badly for fantasizing about another guy), and nothing written about her implied that she would flip a switch and stop loving him in one night and fall in love with her multiple kidnappers immediately. 🤷🏻♀️
Sidenote: I try to ignore typos and grammatical errors, but there were quite a few, and they were distracting. I didn't let them affect the rating, though...
While the story is decent, it's forgettable. I don't expect fiction to match reality that closely, but the instant attraction and her acceptance of the situation is hard to believe. She's with these men for a few days and is suddenly okay with sleeping with all of them? Not to mention the premature love confessions. It feels so rushed.
The spice was okay at first. Then it becomes repetitive and cringy. As a personal ick, I HATE when authors spell out c-u-m. I've read way better on AO3.
The book is in need of some serious editing. Between rampant typos and incorrect sentence structure, I really questioned if I would finish it. It's VERY hard to overlook because you can't go more than 2 pages without a mistake.
I also didn't like how the author negatively portrays a BDSM relationship. It's okay for characters to just say "huh okay I wouldn't want that." Instead, they go out of their way to call it sick. I know it's done by characters who are in the wrong, but there is no need to shit on people's preferences.
Who the fuck doesn't know what a spatula is???

I had a really rough time with this one which was a shame because I was really drawn in by the premise. In execution, though it missed the mark in a lot of ways for me.
I don't need my stories to be based in reality, especially with a dark romance but this was just more "unhinged behavior" with no sense or reason than it was a dark romance ...and it was mostly by the FMC. Which says something as she was kidnapped by three men paid to kill her. How do they feel leagues more sane than she is?
At one point the she thinks "None of this makes sense" and that about sums it up for me.
I don't know how I feel about this. I really wanted to like it.
The idea for the plot was really cool, but the execution wasn't the greatest. The relationships felt extremely rushed and the timeline wasn't believable. On top of that, the majority of the book was these sexual experiences that were undeveloped and repetitive. It felt like it was spice for spice's sake and I kept skipping over them. The characters and their relationships were completely underdeveloped. All in all, I wasn't a fan.
If you're looking for a short, spicy read, this book might just be for you. The story introduces us to Sloan and David, who initially seem like an average married couple. However, beneath the surface, there's a dark secret lurking. David, Sloan's husband, is deeply involved in BDSM and is having an affair with Sloan's best friend, Amanda.
As the plot unfolds, we learn that David has taken his betrayal even further by hiring hitmen to eliminate Sloan. What David fails to realize is the serious mistake he has made and the grave consequences of his actions. As the tension builds, he comes to understand just how misplaced his trust and judgments truly are, but by then, it may already be too late.
While I wouldn't classify it as a masterpiece, the book certainly provides an entertaining and thrilling experience. The plot was engaging, with unexpected twists that kept me turning the pages. However, despite its appeal, I found that it lacked the depth and complexity I often seek in literature. Ultimately, while I enjoyed reading it in the moment, I don't think I would choose to revisit it in the future.
This was written by a teenager who somehow published their wattpad smut with only a concept of how adulthood and sex works. The typos and grammatical errors made me cringe everytime. The insta love made me wanna tear my eyes out. The fact that nothing was realistic or had any depth made me disappointed that I actually wasted a whole day reading this. Lemme just say one thing to summarize... our MC is 32 years old and didn't know what a fucking spatula was.
Wow, and wow.....what a crazy plot and execution of it. I've never wanted to be kidnapped by a group of men so bad in my life, lol.
The story was incre and the fire, steam and spicy was incredible. I do agree there were a few errors although this happens. I mean no one is perfect and mistakes happen no matter how careful you are during the editing process.
I think this was a completely amazing and shows extreme talent from this author. I will be reading more of her books, I can't wait.
Book took a turn I wasn't expecting with the nature of the original offer.
* Spoilers ahead*
I enjoyed seeing the FMC come into her own and get her revenge but the nature of the revenge seemed very far fetched based on how timid she started. It almost felt too far fetched for me ( ironic right?)
But I did enjoy that she rose up she truly wanted to be phoenix in her life story after the unforgivable betrayal
This was a good book! Needed a little more editing my spelled words, but other than that it was good. I liked the plot! It’s a why choose so the plot is nothing but spice!! Lol.. and there were 2 unrated characters Black Betty and Tracey! IFYKYk!! Lol there was a twist in there that wasn’t excepting but it was a good one!

Downloaded on SYKD. I read it in about 24 hrs or less. I really liked it a lot! I was telling my husband the general parts of the story, and he said he was pulling for a movie! (It would make a great movie! )
There are a few curve balls, so no spoilers. Just know if you are on the fence, hit that one click!! I sure am glad I read it. 😀
Loved this book from start to end and omgggawddd the spice and major plot twists are genuis and top tier. Only thing i would change would be some of the writing errors through out the book but other than that this book is everything and more such a great quick read
I enjoyed this book a lot. And my immediate love for Kyle was so strong. The characters each had amazing personalities and chemistry together. The writing was good but definitely could have used a bit more editing but nothing that caused me to want to stop reading. Definitely read triggers before you dive in.. unless you’re a little unhinged like me. 🤣 Spice was definitely spicy.
This should have been 5 stars. It has it all: original concept, intrigue, a ton of steam, character development of FMC, likeable characters. However, it is possible to overlook the editing errors. “…through her ears all I can feel for her is hate.” That was my favorite error LOL Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!
This was horrible. The only reason I skim read the book was to see what kind of comeuppances Amanda and David would get. This book had so many plot holes it would sink a ship. The writing was trite and the storyline had potential but fell so far from the expected bar. I do NOT recommend wasting your time on this because you will never get it back.
I can’t even begin to describe how bad and cringey this was. I didn’t want to DNF since it was my first read of the year but there were so many grammatical errors and plot holes. This felt like a teen was allowed to look at the internet unsupervised and decided to commemorate their random deep dive.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. Suspense, action and spice aplenty. This is a dark, spicy read and I would definitely recommend it to my more adventuresome friends.
Its too fast paced, one second she's living the perfect life and like 2 days later she's screwing three guys. Like it could be worse, and there's a lot of smut but it really is more smut than story
Wow the plot and the twists in this book had me begging to know what was on the next page! I love a strong FMC and man does deliver! And omg the hot MMC’s!!! This was dark and romantic and very spicy! Highly recommend if you’re looking for something different with the dark reverse harem romance!!
Absolutely devoured this book. There was a few mistyped words and some sentences I had to re-read to make sure I read them correctly. But I thoroughly enjoyed the book 😉 the banter between them all made me laugh and blush
