This is a wonderful book! While aimed at a young adult audience, The Zombies of Mesmer has enough depth to keep even the most fantasy weary reader going. I fell in love with the characters the moment I opened the book and couldn't stop reading. This is one of those books you want to read once for the story, then go back and savor the best bits at a more sedate pace. Nickie Nick is a vampire huntress - in a corset. The good guy is wonderful, one of the few leading men of his ilk(don't want to give it away)that I have fallen in love with.

Go out, get this book! It's wonderful.

It is a good YA novel set in a combination Steampunk horror universe. A heroine who is strong without having to be over the top strong like too many other strong female characters. Sorry this is a problem I tend to have with both Buffy and Anita Blake. Great supporting characters and a fun story.

Love the story line, I'm looking forward to more about Nickie Nick. I'm a little disheartened about a few spots in the story line, I would have liked to delve deeper into a few areas of the menacing Mesmer zombies. All in all it was a good read.
