Be kind to get rid of negative energy and damaging habits and purify mind, body, and soul. In "Detox for Life", Josephine Collins shows you how to be the best that you can be. Her sensible advice will help you make wise choices for improving your entire well-being - from the way you think to the way you look and feel. Divided into four chapters - Mind, Body, Relationships, and Space - the book takes a practical approach to resolving the stresses of modern living. The mind chapter explains how to turn the vision of what you want in life into reality. Body focuses on diet, exercise, sleep, and pampering, and includes weekend and two-week detox plans. Relationships gives advice on dealing with toxic friendships, as well as how to boost your self-esteem and promote harmony with friends and lovers. The final chapter deals with creating positive energy in your living space.
This is a very "pretty" and easy to use book. Nothing preachy or intense.
The book focuses on step-by-step cleansing of the mind, body, relationships, and home.
The philosophy presented is: "One Step at a Time: Many of us suffer from an all-or-nothing mentality, which means that we either want to detox our life thoroughly and immediately, or we don't want to bother because the task seems overwhelming. If this applies to you, remind yourself that it can take time to transform your vision into reality. Take one small step at a time and bear in mind that each step is bringing you closer to achieving your grand plan."
This wasn't really what I was looking for... It was very self-help and that's not really my thing. Affirmations, self talk? No thanks. We are starting a diet detox on Monday so I was looking for tips on detoxing other areas of our life (relationships, space, etc.) but I didn't really find anything new or helpful but honestly, I wasn't really into it from the beginning so I didn't really give it a chance.
