YES! READ IT!
After reading all the previous “The Girl in the Box”, I have to say Sienna seems to be maturing, or more focused maybe? I don’t even flinch at the descriptive violence anymore..just raise my arm in a fist pump.. Team Sienna!
Some great snark and great sayings in this book!! I panicked over the headshot but now I’m excited for what it means (memories…) for the next book. (Read this book & you’ll know what I mean)- Although I missed hearing about Reed & the others, I thoroughly enjoyed these family characters & perfect “hit squad”. What’s really scary- as I finished the Book, walked into the room where my TV was on the news, it was all about “China, China, China”! Eckkkkkkkk
Conclusion: Exciting, entertaining, well written, nail biting, funny snarky, scary, with a few inserted profound life philosophies. Ha!

Great series taking a solid Right wing turn
It's been obvious for a while (in series) that out heroine didn't care for public institutions or the media and had a pretty simple view of how the world works, ie. Good v. Bad. Good times, no big deal, she's definitely an anti-hero anyway and in the stamp of so many millennials, she casually refers to body positivity, women's rights, and racial inequality as if the advances of the last century were things that didnt impact her life, it's just always been the way it should. For the first time now, she actually begins to quote modern day libertarians (anarchists really) and conservative talking heads ("drain the swamp" to get rid of people who know the laws and procedures of government so we can put "honest folk" who don't have any experience, education of, or interest in the rights of the actual citizens that the they don't represent). Either way, if you have in mind that the entirety of civil servants are horrible people, I suggest you apply for the job yourself, got through the background check, get thru the degrees required to hold the position (not just talk about the most recent book you just read, but also take the rest of the prerequisite courses) and then deal with people like you for 20 years before tearing apart institutions that you believe hold a political agenda.
Throwing out casual attacks on liberal morning shows is just churlish.

Fallout Indeed
I knew after Shadows that things would never be the same again in Sienna’s world. But nothing could have prepared me for this book. Never in my wildest imagination would I have predicted the events in these pages.
Clear your day before you start reading, because you won’t be able to put it down. And when you finish it’s like the feeling you get when you wrap up an entire series and you wander around like you are lost for a week or so trying to figure out how you fit back into the real world. Except the series isn’t over, there are still cliff hangers, and you are left with the stunning realization the there is no way back and no easy way forward. The stage is set for insurmountable odds and immense potential for heartbreak. I have experienced a tragedy of global proportions. And I expect whatever resolution eventually comes will be worth trauma.

This book is FULL ON ** Chefs Kiss ** it’s all action all the way.
Sienna and her team of meta humans who ironically are almost all related to her, the ones who are comfortable working outside the law have a mammoth task ahead of them. Rooting out the Chinese spies in Washington and the Alphabet Agencies. Given a new acting position within the CIA Sienna doesn’t actually have the authority to arrest anyone but she can supervise arrests like a pro.
Russia is on the brink of collapse after the efforts of David Hayling who was dubbed as America’s worst traitor since Benedict Arnold. Sienna and crew are tasked with shoring up Russia’s defence without being seen to do so. The crises in Washington are starting to snowball.
The Chinese war machine is not complacent, they’re quietly on the move.

Robert has been teasing his readers that changes were coming. They have arrived in spades or kittens. Sienna has warned anyone who would listen that China was about to make a huge play on the world stage. They do just as Sienna and company opened the can of worms showing China’s true intent for domination. President Mitchell is all in favor of Sienna cleaning house which brings more trouble for our bad ass heroine. As the plot thickens, her family and a few true friends have her back. Will it be enough??? In true Robert J Crane fashion, we are left hanging with more spoilers and treats. Another 5 star epic leaving us begging for more. This was great way to end July 4th.

The last time I felt that Sienna was facing such unsurmountable odds was when she was back in Scotland. Now, we all know how that one ended up, but the challenges faced here are exponentially bigger.
Of course, it wouldn't be a GITB book without the odd curveball.
Buckle up kids. The ride is about to start.

Hmmm … ok … then POW!! That’s about the best way I can describe this latest installment of ‘The Sienna Files’! The story starts out quit slow w/loads of political background & subtle innuendoes of the nature of our current democratic woes & maybe those to come if we are not careful … then it gets interesting!!
I thoroughly enjoy each & every character the author throws into the mix & look forward to reading the lively banter & complex ties they have with/to our heroine! Without going into any ‘spoiler’ territory I just have to say .,, WHAT AN ENDING! On pins & needles until the next tale comes out. Well done again Mr Crane.

As usual, once I start reading, I can't put it down until finished! This is book number 55 and Sienna Nealon continues to deliver heart-pounding action, betrayal, intrigue, and loyalty. I'm a fan of every single book in this long series and can't wait for another! There isn't any other author out there who can deliver this many sequels on a single character and captivate you every time. Keep them coming!

Book hangover!
Sooo much action in this one. China's plans are being implemented. Sienna is Acting CIA Director and has almost Carte Blanche to stop China. And of course, everything goes wrong, or right if you're Alannah. I can't wait to see where Sienna goes next. Because when her back is against the wall and the people she most cares about are truly threatened... its gonna be so good!

An Iowan who loves you!
Like my cousins who endlessly harassed my brother and I about being from Iowa, Robert J. Crane may trash talk Iowa, but I love his storytelling and the girl in the box series. It's fun and quirky, and the characters may just be my sinfully, not so guilty pleasure.
I wait for each book and binge read each one. The thing I know with certainty is that this series is amazing and I highly recommend it

Better and better
Each book in this series builds on the storyline of the previous one and in each one the storyline gets better and better and this latest offering did not disappoint. What a great read, can't wait for the next one! You will never get tired of this series because it is so awesomely entertaining!

it almost feels like we are nearing the last book..
Man, I hope not because this series has humor, love, betrayal, lies, and kick-ass metahumans! The plot so matches what the world looks like today, and how China is working to rule the world with all the help from bent politicians across the globe!

Everytime
When I started reading this series, there were already 47 books. Yet almost every book I am on the edge of my seat and not getting a wink of sleep until I know Sienna lives. I know there are more books, I know she lives. But each book is so well written, and I am so submerged in the story, that I manage to completely forget.

I can’t even say what I really want to say about this book because, although I know it’s fiction and none of this is real, Some of the stuff mentioned in this book comes pretty close to what I feel is going to happen to America. But seriously, well done Robert Crane, well done.

Argh!!! Too short!!! I mean, it only took me like 4 hours to power read through this thing and I was enjoying the hell out of it so much. I just wanted it to keep going until Sienna does her thing, but now I have to wait until November for a satisfactory conclusion to this cliffhanger.

This was a hard read and exceedingly relative content. This had very few things to really sink.your teeth in very little meat and mostly over done potatoes. Mr Crane you are better than this please!

As always Robert J crane has brought another wonderful book to The Girl in the Box series. Filled with excitement, danger, and family issues, it's hard to put down. If I read all night it's Because I am reading one of his books as I can't put it down.

A little over the top
Too much technical writing towards the end in the fight scenes, it was hard to track/makes sense of. I found myself reading parts of it again to understand which isn’t a good sign.
