SHE SHOULD HAVE LOOKED BEFORE SHE LEAPT.
The man Jess has fallen in lust with is not only married, he's her boss. He's also famous -- a high-ranking government official who is all business by day, and all-out kinky by night. And when his photo -- his naked photo -- is splashed on the front page of the supermarket tabloids, Jess has Rude Awakening #1: home-wrecking leads to nothing but heartache. How could it all have backfired so? Are her instincts in this Crazy Thing called Love really that deplorable?

SHE'LL LAND ON HER FEET.
Maybe her instincts aren't the problem. Relying on her colorful circle of girlfriends for unconditional love and break-up recovery via margarita infusion, Jess makes another play for domestic bliss -- only to experience Rude Awakening #2: some men are wired to behave badly. But rather than settle, Jess is finally ready to put her happiness first. And happiness, for the time being, means calling on her friends to concoct a marvelous plan to get payback from her exes that's daring, hilarious, and certain to hit the jerks where they live....

i went to a place that has hot pools an hour outside of auckland on sunday and ended up sitting around and reading almost this entire book. it was perfect for a day like that.

mainly just a story about a girl who has bad luck with men. one thing i really really liked in this book was how she the her 2nd guy ended up getting married. they were on their way from london to NYC for another friends wedding, so all their friends were already on the plane. the guy proposes and they get married as they are flying over, as all their friends are there and he surprises her with her parents being on board. i freakin' loved it! that is exactly what i want to happen with me. and then of course, to take a negative turn on why it was such a surprise is that it ends up that the guy is a total asshole and was cheating on the girl the whole time and just needed some excitement in his life, so he was always doing crazy things like that. what a let down! when i finally read about what i want to happen in my life, of course, there is a negative reason why he did what he did! blah.

otherwise, this book was okay. a bit too many characters. the Girl had like 5 best friends, plus their families to chat about, so it got a bit busy and you couldn't keep anyone straight half the time. pretty much the jist is that the girl has bad luck picking dudes. what's new there? not much.

Some parts were good, the end just became a little too ridiculous.

Another enjoyable romp from Shari Low following the adventures of Carly Cooper and her group of friends. This book features Jess a friend of Carly and her adventures following revelations about her love life - she took her job very seriously indeed. It also catches up with Carly Cooper from What If and also catches up with the lives and loves of ate, Carol and Sarah. Another laugh out loud book from Shari Low.

Hilarious & Bittersweet

Buy this book, you'll get a fantastic story and you'll be contributing to a worthy cause at the same time. If you read the mini questions interview with the author at the end of the book, you'll find out this story was inspired by true events!!! However, the story is worth the price all by itself. I would love to read more about these characters........ Soon as possible ......please consider a series.

Ende war ganz schön übertrieben. Zeitweise viele schnelle Szenensprünge.

I don't know if I've read too many chick-lits and now I'm really critical of them or what, but this book was so boring that I stopped reading it in the middle. This book had rave reviews and 5 star ratings on Amazon so I was excited when I got it, but after forcing myself through the first 120 pages I surrendered to the lifeless plot and the dull characters. There are SO many good chick-lits out there and this isn't one of them. Dont' bother.

I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately I was disappointed. It was difficult to get into and even harder to stay interested in.

This was an entertaining, light book to throw in between heavier reads. This was a quick read and reminiscent of Something Borrowed or Something Blue. Great for beach reading.

It was ok, but I have decided that there is only so many British chick novels I can take in one week.

Pure chic lit but perfect for summer. Also, it had an ending I could live with, (i.e. not annoying), and characters I wouldn't mind as friends.

This is one of the funniest books I have read!!! I laughed through the whole thing. It's mindless, but who cares. Off to look for her other books now.
