Lyn Andrews writes from the heart, and Liverpool Songbird is no different Alice O'Connor and her family are poor, living in the heart of Liverpool's toughest slums, her father is a drunen bully, spending what money he makes on booze, and taking what little money the family have. Alice is tough, and has a gift, she has the voice of an Angel, and decides she has to leave Liverpool and follow her dream, to be "a somebody" but will it come at a cost?
I love this author's books and have read quite a few of hers. They lean towards the saga type novel usually based in Liverpool during the early 1900's.
