Being a roller coaster enthusiast, I enjoyed the book, even though it is a bit dated. Several of the coasters profiled have been closed. Nonetheless, it was a fun read.
I bought this book about 13 years ago and I read it then. I love Roller Coasters so I found the history fascinating. But what I especially liked was all the pictures of Roller Coasters around the world. I reread this book and what I most enjoyed this time was the stroll through memory lane as I have been on a lot of the roller coasters featured in the book. I remembered riding with my dad, friends, Brian and have great memories of each coaster. The funny thing is that since this book is older it refers to Riverside park, however anyone from around here knows that was converted to Six Flags New England.
Somewhat interesting, albeit dated, look at some of the more intimidating roller coasters of the world. (Since rides like Drachen Fire and Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg sadly aren't around any more.)
