This was the perfect level for me. I'm sort of a casual backgammon player, and I've read several books already, so I understood what he was talking about but I'm not yet skilled enough to put everything from this book into practice just yet. I'm sure I'll read it a few more times, taking notes and improving my game as I get deeper into the tactics & strategies recorded here.

If you want to learn how to play backgammon and win more often than not, this book is a good start. Everything you need to know is broken down into simple digestible bits. You know like your mother did for your younger sibling when he ate meat, because one time you choked and your mother never forgave herself for it.

Informative, but it seems like the author went out of the way to make sure the reader knew what an asshole he was. I'm not interested in his feelings on who is currently a weak player. It's not really pertinent information.

This is a good introduction to backgammon but most of it was too basic for me.
