The first English translations of Plato’s Atlantis did not use the word “Atlantis” but instead “Atlantic Island”. Since the Atlantic Island was as large as Libya and Asia together that can only mean one place — America and the confusion arises because it was not the Atlantic Island which sank in a single day and night but a small volcanic island also called Atlantis. Such a site exists on the Altiplano in Bolivia and the area contains most of the features Plato described. These features are recounted in this book as well as a previously unpublished 2014 report of an investigation into cut stones seen on the Atlantis mountain at Pampa Aullagas, Bolivia, … “How to explain how we found stones perfectly cut and polished inside the corals which took more than 10,000 years to petrify?” Plato’s story of a city punished by the gods and sank into the sea also corresponds to a Bolivian legend of a city punished by the gods and sank into Lake Wiñaymarca where submerged ruins have recently been found beneath the waters of the lake. Thus it is clear that Plato’s story had as its origins, descriptions which came from the Atlantic Island, — ancient America.
