A lot unnecessary repeating of words

This book had potential, but after a while, it just got boring. Same old words being repeated over and over and over. And you portrayed a Luna with exceptional power but never allowed us to see those powers, so in all essence, she was just weak. This book could have been a lot better if you managed to actually show how powerful Emma really was. There is so much other stuff I want to write, but I digress.

Logan doesn’t deserve her and she needs to act like the power she is

Logan still doesn’t deserve her. She should’ve went with Jake. They have a better relationship. Sorry reject the alpha and mate with Jake would’ve been better.

¡Dios mío! ¿Por dónde empiezo? Veamos, el primer libro sentí yo que tenía una historia interesante, la ejecución si bien estuvo mala, los personajes no me gustaron y se sentían muy repetitivos los últimos capítulos del libro, yo tenía la pequeña esperanza de que mejorara ya que aun así el libro pasado terminó en un buen cliffhanger peroo no, todo empeoró aquí. Los personajes aquí son más insoportables, ya no los aguantaba, si tengo que leer una vez más la frase “She is mine” voy a explotar, la repiten y repiten 10,000 veces y creo que eso es el 90% del libro, me exasperé como nunca con el personaje de Logan, enserio no podía con su personaje, me daban ganas de llorar de la frustración que me hacía sentir.

El desenlace del libro de cierta manera es muy parecido al primero, ya que la protagonista vuelve a ir al hospital y bla bla bla. No me gusto nada. Sentí que podían contar una historia al menos medianamente interesante pero todo lo aventaron por la ventana solo para darnos escenas “hot” que ni buenas estaban, personalmente llegue a un punto donde me las saltaba, porque ni aportaban nada ni estaban buenas jaja.

Para terminar nos vienen diciendo desde el primer libre que Emma es el lobo blanco y que tiene poderes y magia y que es invencible, pero honestamente no creo que hayamos visto NADA de eso, solo la torturan y sobrevive mágicamente, eso es todo. Tipo, yo creí que nos darían una demostración en este libro o algo lo que sea.

En fin, pinche libro mediocre, vamos a leernos el siguiente.

I feel bad for Jake here. Seriously. They were supposedly best friends, the h had a crush on him, told us she loved him, he trained her, he stuck up for her, he let his intentions be known and how does the h repay him?

“Oh Jake, I only think of you as a friend now, I won’t defend you against my asshole mate, and I won’t hang out with you because now all the sudden I can’t stand to have anyone but my mate touch me, even if he did sleep with my tormentor, and even if I decide to not accept him back I’ll stay stupidly single forever”. 🤦‍♀️

I had to force myself to finish this one.

The first one was a like a bad soap opera, extremely ridiculous but hard to stop reading.
This one, on the other hand, was painful. I hated it the entire time.

The almost incestuous relationship between Emma and Andrew made me extremely uncomfortable. The plot was non-existent. The dialogues are awful, and 90% of the book is just Logan and Andrew thinking about how much they love Emma and how amazing she is. It gets old really fast.

If I had taken a shot every time Logan said "Fuck, baby" I would have died of alcohol poisoning.

This is my fault though. I did this to myself.

Decent…

Well most of what I wanted to happen in this second installment of The White Wolf Series did NOT happen, hence the 3 stars instead of 4 or 5.

**SPOILERS**

So even though book 1 ended with Emma telling Logan that she needed time…uhmmm she changed her tune pretty quickly for a girl who was so cruelly rejected by her fated mate!!

It’s like less than a week before Emma caves and trusts Logan again, even going so far as to tell him that she loves him too. Heck, she didn’t even make him grovel like he should’ve, she just took his apology and words of love like nothing had transpired between them to upset, hurt and make him less trustworthy. Maybe it’s a mate thing…but I still thought he needed to grovel more and make it up to her.

Then we get the attack by the Rogue King and his witches and although it was “somewhat exciting” it read waaaay too much like book 1 where she was drugged, beaten, kidnapped and almost died. It almost felt as if the author cut and pasted from the first book, only this time it was the witches torturing her, and the Rogue King who wanted to mate her. When Andrew and Logan find her she is once again near death, and once again taken to the hospital, and once again was missing for 4 days, and once again was out of it (coma like) for 5 days…it was just way too similar to book 1.

Also, I really would’ve enjoyed seeing Jacob and Drake COURT Emma! I thought Emma’s idea to visit other packs was a valid idea and wished she had done it…especially visiting Drake’s pack. Give Logan a real taste of his own medicine and making it hurt in the process. Heck I’d even would’ve enjoyed Emma saying yes to Jacob’s proposal of courtship leading to her being his chosen mate. Not to say I would want her to go through with said mating, but to watch Logan jealous, losing his mind, and feeling how badly it had hurt when he’d rejected her would’ve been very satisfying. And Emma wanting to see Sienna and the Rogue King, Samuel was kinda ridiculous!! I mean, yes, she has a sweet soul, and extremely sweet and good disposition, but that doesn’t mean she needs to go see and speak to the two most evil people she had encountered. Even more shocking…she FORGIVES Sienna, going so far as to tell her that Andrew and Logan loved, had always loved Sienna more than her, and if Sienna had left things alone that Logan perhaps more than likely would’ve mated her, and been hers and she’d be Luna of the pack. But her own maliciousness and jealousy caused her downfall!! And then seeing Samuel, only for him to be as jerkish to her as Sienna had been, telling her that her mate mark could be removed and that he wasn’t the only one after her, or coming for her. But with the exception of the rogue king and witches, the book read way too similar to book 1. And frankly I would’ve liked to have seen more of this power and extraordinary abilities that the Rogue King and witches claim she has. I mean, she barely even fights in both book 1 and 2, AND she nearly dies in both books!!! I really would’ve preferred her to be less quiet and meek and more badass, like she claimed she was, and outside sources said she was.

So, as a second book in the series I was kinda let down. It was written pretty well, but Emma still came off as a “helpless delicate flower” and not a strong kickass warrior! It also didn’t really further the plot all that much since it read so much like book 1, AND Logan didn’t nearly grovel enough or redeem himself enough for my liking!! Emma deserved a lot more from her fated mate, and shouldn’t have given it up so easily.

Honestly if book 3 reads anything like book 1, and 2, and doesn’t further the storyline, I think I’ll be over this author.

Sometimes we need to read absolutely shit stories and this truly was one of them. It's truly that bad. Addicting but bad. The whole book is full of repetitive phrases and words. I would be blackout drunk if I would have taken a shot every time the cardboard cutout male lead called our female lead baby.

It's also full of all the other online shit werewolves stories like this. Why does the girl always have to be barely legal and a meek lil innocent virgin? Why do they always have to be orphans as well? She also doesn't deserve my name. And don't get me started on the brother. He was borderline incestuous in my opinion. He called her love as well, was as red flag protective as his best friend who is the female lead's mate & touched her like his bestie did. The amount of times he touched her intimately was uncountable as well. He pulled her into his lap on multiple occasions, kissed her cheek, kissed the top of her head, overly affectionate hugs, hugging her while she's sleeping etc. Or when the book mentioned on multiple occasions that he needed physical contact with her to feel at ease. That's some mate as fuck type as shit and not sibling coded at all.

Besides, both the brother and the mate went crazy when girlie went missing. Some of these wouldn't be weird if it didn't go together with the fact jealousy and protectiveness or if she wasn't an adult. Please let her be the actual adult she is, even though she is a little stupid and infuriating at times. Initially the brother didn't creep me out but damn please get a mate yourself so you can leave your sister alone. The line I'm going insane without her..... YOU ARE HER BROTHER!

I thought it was funny that at one point everyone was like to mark or not to mark? That is the question. SHOULDN'T IT BE THE GIRL'S CHOICE THOUGH? Like seriously why was her brother, a random alpha that had the hots for as well & her mate involved in this conversation. It should have been between the two of them.

The male lead did act like a freaking jealous toddler 99% of the time. Dude get your shit together. The amount of times he yelled MINE, SHE'S MINE became unbearable. The birds from finding nemo even have more self respect with the way they yell mine mine mine. Even my nephew of two has more self control than this character. And it's a very insta love type of 'love'.

Also, the villain is another cardboard cutout villain without any depth.

Pretty much the same as the first book in the series

I really don't like what the author did to our would-be hot alpha MMC, Logan in this book (her brother Andrew as well for that matter). In the very beginning of the last book, he did seem like a strong character, and a strong alpha. But the longer the series gets, the more pussy whipped he seems to be. He dialog is mostly,
"I love you, baby."
"Oh baby, I missed you so much."
"Don't go baby, you're safe.
"You're mine, MINE, MINE, MINE"
rinse, repeat.

Same as last book, there were some plot/story points in this book that could have been done so much better. The dialog between Andrew and Logan while they're trying to track down Emma and her kidnappers was pretty much cringe. I mean, I felt like I really wanted to give Logan a shot of testosterone and tell him to find his balls, because he looked like a pretty weak alpha to me. I admit that this does seem to happen in a lot of these PNR books. The MMC is super strong, super alpha but as soon as the mate bond occurs, they turn pussy. Sad really.

The other cringy thing that is happening in this book is with her brother, Andrew. Apparently their parents died when she was young, so he pretty much raised her. Sure, I get he's protective of her. But the extreme reaction when she was kidnapped and then found again was just . . . ew. Look, my older brother and I are very close, but I can tell you that he NEVER pulls me in to sit on his lap and run his fingers through my hair. Rather than something sweet and special between siblings, this just made me feel dirty. Ugh.

Anyway, not sure if I'm going to continue with the series. I mean, I just don't know how much more I can take of hearing how hard she makes him just by breathing. And I never want to hear another man refer to his significant other as "baby" again. Ever.

The first volume was the type of a "quick read" book, without too many descriptions, straight into action, and the writing style did not attract attention.
Although I felt it wasn't worth it, I continued volume two, more curious about the imagined story and the epic thread of the story. Complete disappointment. I didn't expect the writing style to suddenly change, but I did expect the characters to have some evolution nonetheless. Emma, though the main character, is for most of the book as a figure devoid of personality, created only to be the object of adoration and protection of her brother and her "mate". In the few passages where she is not described as a scared and helpless girl who is constantly passed from one guy's arms to another's (although she would be the subject of a myth describing her as superpowerful), Emma appears to be transformed into a sex object, Loggan's ultimate goal.
On the other hand, Logan seems like a completely irresponsible teenager defined only by his desire to have sex with Emma as soon as possible. Andrew is also a disappointment, not standing out with anything, except perhaps with an almost unreal desire to protect his sister, a bit exaggerated in attitude, gestures, words, to seem plausible.
The most "normal" characters remain Emma's friends, but it is possible that this perspective is due to the fact that too few are mentioned in the story and do not participate much in discussions.

This book series is an EXCELLENT reason why I HATE the algorithms on social media. They recommended the previous book via a different app so many times with 2 different scenes. The first scene (in the video words) had a fascinating concept of a rejected mate going to live in the human world and being found. The comment section had the first 3 chapters of the first book in the series. NOTE: they're not the same book. So i finish that book, somewhat enjoying the story, liking the main character, but hating all the spelling, grammar, and proofreading issues in the book, even though EVERY character is too flat. I kept reading, hoping that we'd get to the teaser. Then it didn't come. So I read the next book...and the next book...and the entire 6 book series. By the end, I continue hate reading through the atrocious writing hoping to get to the scene. SPOILER: it's not there. there is no scene where this Luna removes herself to the human world. If you're looking for that, prepare to be disappointed like me. If you're hoping the book series gets more interesting, sorry.

En la misma línea q el anterior, no encuentro q tenga una mala trama, pero el estilo telegráfico de la autor es el que no pega. Entiendo q posiblemente tenga un máximo de palabras, pero creo q eso se puede solucionar dejando de gastar tinta en los arranques posesivos del Alpha, y aprovechar para darle más profundidad a los personajes, o al menos a las escenas trascedentales.
Emma obviamente perdonó a Logan, y aunq no fue enseguida, creo q lo hizo demasiado fácilmente. Pero lo q realmente decepciona es lo q debió ser el clímax de la historia: el rapto. El tal Samuel no está a la altura, Sienna resultó más mala q ese Rey Rogue de pacotilla; y ni siquiera terminamos descubriendo cuál es relamente la verdad sobre el poder de Emma.
Otra cosa q no entiendo: xq necesitamos saber el punto de vista de Andrew si la historia va de Emma&Logan y cualquier alternativa es incestuosa....

4 stars because I couldn’t put it down. I’m engulfed by the storyline. It loses one star because the writing could use some help.

The author definitely needs a thesaurus and could use an editor.

I’m so caught in the story but you could play a drinking game with how often she uses the same phrases or words over and over.

• Overuse of pet names “baby” “love” “little one”
• the villain was called “that f**ker” about 10 times in one page
• definitely relies heavily on the word f**k throughout the book.
• the guys are constantly running their fingers through their hair.
Also… “I saw f**king red” is used at least once a chapter during heavier plot sections

The story line is amazing and I can put aside all the issues with the writing because that may be just me. I can’t wait to read more.

I, like so many others, got sucked in by an ad. Had to start reading the second book just to finish up the story arc of book one. (I hate a cliffhanger. )

Half way through book 2 I understood the plot. This is a weird-butt fever dream that hinges on multiple men losing their minds over the same girl. The nearly-incestuous brother and the MC Alpha male are basically in hysterics the entire story. They love Emma so much! Once she is out of immediate danger things get steamy then she is in danger again! Cue hysterics. Rinse. Repeat.


Honestly, the thin plot might be supportable if the writing was any good. But it just… isn’t. It’s sloppy and juvenile and so obviously in need of basic editing. Good idea, bad writing works. Bad idea good writing works. Bad idea, bad writing. I want my time refunded.

I will preface this by saying that I did enjoy reading books 1 and 2.
It keeps being mentioned that Emma is super rare and powerful but they've literally shown none of that. The only exceptional thing she has done is not die twice. And ngl the only difference in how Andrew and Logan are written is that Logan's thoughts of Emma are always sexual even at inappropriate times. Emma deserves better. Her thoughts are around the feelings of the people around here and all of Logan and Andrews thoughts are of themselves. "I can't live without her","I need her","She has to forgive me because I, I, I...". You get it. Also, for being an 18 year old, she keeps getting passed from lap to lap to manage other people's emotions.
