Sweetwood Secret

When her younger brother goes missing, New York City journalist Holly Blake is beckoned back to the small Georgia town of her youth.

After losing both her parents the previous year, she is desperate to find Lucas—the only family she has left.

But searching for her brother means two things Holly had not bargained for: reuniting with her ex-fiancé Max, the local sheriff, and following a trail that leads straight into the tangled web of lies and dangerous games played by one of the richest families in the State—the Sweetwoods.

Sweetwood Scandal

Following his ex-girlfriend to her hometown of Wellington, New Zealand, Jacob Sweetwood is on the hunt for the thousands of dollars and the antique ruby ring Ava-Rose has stolen.

After weeks of dead-ends and a puzzling meeting with Ava-Rose’s father, Jacob heads back to Blairsville, Georgia. There, he finds comfort and solace in the company of Nancy Cooper—the straight-talking, beautiful owner of The Fox and Fig.

Soon, though, Ava-Rose is back in Blairsville with no money, a story that is difficult to believe, and an undeniable tie to a scandal that threatens to upend the entire Sweetwood Syrups empire.

Sweetwood Christmas

When Zena Sweetwood is asked by her uncle Octavius to help him reason with his wife, her beloved aunt Adora who suddenly wants a divorce, Zena is certain this will be an easy fix. They’re so in love, after all.

Soon though, it becomes clear that Adora has her mind made up—having hired slick Manhattan attorney Gabe Da Silva to stay at their North Georgia mansion to draw up the papers.

As Gabe and Zena embark on their separate assignments under the same roof, they are often drawn together. And the more they uncover, the more they are convinced Adora is hiding something. Will the two be able to bring the truth to light in time to reunite the elder Sweetwoods and have a happy holiday ending of their own?

I absolutely loved this series! I don’t normally read romance novels but this one had me hooked. I loved how all 3 stories were connected and they interweaved with each other beautifully. I also loved the aspect of suspense added to them. The writing was fantastic. I couldn’t put it down!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Sweetwood series by Danielle Hines is a small-town romance.

Sweetwood Secret is about Holly Blake and Max Cooper. When her younger brother went missing she went back home to search for him with the help of her ex-fiance who was Blairsville's sheriff. During the investigation they slowly reconciled and they uncovered a lot more than the disappearance.

Sweetwood Scandal is about Nancy Cooper, the sheriff's sister, and Jacob Sweetwood. His ex-girlfriend had stolen from him and he went to New Zealand so he could find her. His search wasn't successful but when he came home he found a woman who was a good listener and supported him. Their attraction was instant and soon they were in love.

Sweetwood Christmas is about Zena Sweetwood and Gabe Da Silva. Her aunt was divorcing her uncle. They were people who she idolized and the news hit her hard. She couldn't let them ruin their perfect relationship. So when she met her aunt's lawyer she hated him instantly. Gabe was enamored by her so he decided to help her fix their marriage. Those two had a lot of personal issues and they were going to "fix" them together.

This series is very romantic with a hint of mystery. It's perfect for all readers because it doesn't contain spicy content. The main themes are second chance and falling in love quickly kind of romance. Half of the stories are focused on the development of relationships and the other on solving mysteries. They are well-written books that can keep your interest
intact from the beginning till the end.

I highly recommend this series to all romance readers. I will rate it with 4 stars.

"The Sweetwood Series consists of three novels by Danielle Hines: 'Sweetwood Secret,' 'Sweetwood Scandal,' and 'Sweetwood Christmas.'

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Although each of the three stories is relatively short, individually categorized as novellas, when read together, they create a pleasing harmony with interconnected character lives. While I would have preferred the stories to be a bit longer to foster stronger connections with the characters, it's remarkable how, in a short span, we become invested in their lives. Coupled with classic plot elements, this series offers an excellent blend for romance enthusiasts.

This book is also a delightful choice for those seeking a quick and effortless read, or simply looking for a smooth literary journey.

I look forward to reading more from this author because I believe she possesses a talent for captivating readers with her seamless writing. There's always room for improvement, but for the most part, she has done an admirable job with both plot and character development.

Want to spend a weekend in a small Southern town? The Sweetwood series provides that. Three stories set in Blairsville, Georgia with interconnected characters brings readers into the heart of the town. I enjoyed the relationships between the characters and the overlap between the stories. While it was three separate stories it felt like a continuation of a visit. The characters are trying to figure out what they want out of life and how they can make it happen.

Thanks to the author and Kate Rock Book Tour for providing a copy for my honest review.

All three of the stories in Danielles Hines series about Sweetwood centers around the southern town Blairville and all the classical smalltown elements are present. The rich family that has it´s hand in almost everything in the town, the friendly sheriff, the kind aunt.
The first half of the novellas centers around the growing love between the protagonists the second half centers around a mystery. Not the gory kind but quite mundane problems that are treated with seriousness.

All stories are interconnected but with new protagonists. Even though the stories are on the short side, Danielle Hines takes care with both the character development and how she uses the environment. The dialogue is fun and modern and drives the story forward. This is a closed-door book but the want and interest are there, bubbling under the surface. And that is good, otherwise everything gets too correct and, frankly, boring.

The series are well written, dialogue driven and a rather straight forward narrative. As a reader there is no need for deep thoughts or digging deep in one’s soul. No, you’ll get a story like candy floss. Sweet, easy and something that’ll makes you feel good. Give me more!

Thank you for the arc.

I was given an arc for this in exchange for an honest review!
I loved that these three short stories were put together and they flowed so well. They were genuinely lovely feel good romances. The town and the characters are all likeable and though you get their story as a snapshot in time you know there is so much more that can be told and want to know! I hope there are more to come with this series as there so many characters I want to learn about and see grow. Thank you for the arc!
