Highly, highly, highly recommend this book if you have or suspect you may have a child suffering from anxiety and/or OCD. I read this to my 8 year old daughter after realizing she was going through this and it was a relief to her to know that others have similar issues, and that she can now better explain to us the frustration she feels when she "has so many things going on in her head".

Thank you, thank you, thank you Aureen Pinto Wagner for writing this book!

OCD is a mental illness that children and adults suffer with all over the world. It allows both parents and children to realize the struggles and ways to handle OCD through the eyes of the character Casey. The worry hill is a metaphor to explain such a big topic. The illustration of the hill is a great way to encapsulate the metaphor being given. The genre of this book could be considered Psychological fiction.

When my daughter was diagnosed with OCD, I found this book at the local library and it made a huge difference in the way we looked at her outbursts.

Simple enough to communicate what OCD is and how it affects the everyday lives of kids who have it. Read it in about a minute.
