Flora Larkspur lives her life as a fashion CEO and a panther shifter. Keeping her panther's identity a secret while the Black Shifter Market is hot on shifter's tails is a task she apparently isn’t very good at. Seeing as someone’s been trying to follow her home after her research trips from the strip club.
Dylan Enchanted, an ex-assassin wolf shifter trying to live his life “normally” again, is in need of employment. What is the chance a friend of a friend needs a bodyguard? Dylan's skills and fight-to-kill instinct are tested when Flora’s stalker goes from bad to worse.
Flora’s stalker goes from tame to bold, and the pair finds themselves in much deeper water than they thought. A bubbling romance and a shocking twist will force them to grow in ways they never imagined.
Would just like to start off by saying that I've been waiting for this book for a minute now. I was so excited to read it. I'm 91% of the way through and it's honestly not that bad of a book. I'm not really into fantasy or paranormal books because they're so hard to read and focus on. This book kept everything simple. It was easy to read and honestly enjoyable. Did I like all the characters, no, were they tolerable yes. there wasn't a character that I could honestly say I hated. I'm almost done, this book was a solid 3.75 stars. I'm very excited to see what Jorjor Battle does for this series. Also, isn't her name so cute?
*Dylan has to be the worst bodyguard ever. He let Flora get fucked up three times.

For the author's first book, I'd rate this a solid 3.75 stars. This was my first introduction to shifters/paranormal romance and I loved how the author incorporated multiple species, especially the FMC's fierce panther. Flora and Dylan's relationship was definitely a slow burn as they went back and forth determining if the other person had feelings or not. The 3rd person POV was ok, I found myself re-reading portions as I couldn't determine who was speaking. From the author's TikTok, a sequel is in the works. Will she explain what happened with Willow? Sis left the Pack House abruptly with no reason but was the one to kill Cassandra? There's more to that. Additionally, I want to know more about the backgrounds of other characters, who they were before joining the Pack and before Flora. I also would like for the author to add some more cayenne to the spicy scenes. When Flora and Dylan finally get together, it was rushed, with minimal details. It's a solid book that I found myself staying up way too late to finish.

This book was amazing something about black shifters gonna do it for me every time.
Flora is the CEO of a fashion brand and a panther shifter, working on a new shoe collection when she notices someone following her home. One thing leads to another and she enlists the help of a bodyguard
Enter Dylan a ex assassin and wolf shifter, looking for a job to help provide for his pack. When he finds out that a friend of a friend is looking for a bodyguard he takes the challenge to see if he can protect without killing.
As the stalker closes in on Flora, Dylan works hard to eliminate the possibility that the starker is someone in her close circle. All while feelings grow between the two and when it’s all said and done will there feelings be enough or will the stress of it all weigh down their hearts. TO FIND OUT READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
2 ⭐️ This was a disappointing read for me 👎🏽😪 I had seen a scene on TikTok and became engaged and was eager to read…. the first 50% had me in a bit more ( which I was going to rate 3⭐️) and I was eager to found out the stalker and the romance blooming between Dylan and Flora. But the second 50% just really let it down for me, I didn’t feel a connection at all to the characters, I didn’t feel the tension between Flora and Dylan or even to the plot itself. I felt like the second half was rushed as we never find out the real reason the stalker did what they did, you just had to guess really and the intimacy between Dylan and Flora was rushed too in my opinion considering it was a slow burn ( WHICH I LOVE USUALLY‼️). The third person didn’t make sense considering it was a double pov. The only reason I didn’t dnf was because I wanted to know what happened in the end ‼️
I really wanted to like this story more; I’m not sure if some parts were rushed but a lot of the transitions of conversations and scenes didn’t make sense. There was an climatic buildup of why Dylan and Flora hadn’t had sex yet and the scene when they did was so anticlimactic it didn’t make sense why there was so much tension in the first place. The conversation between Jackson and Flora in the woods was weirdly placed and there was no explanation as to why that conversation was needed. He just randomly wanted to ask her about packs? Then they’re interrupted by another pack member and it transitions into something else? Dylan’s story doesn’t flow well either.
DNF. While I do love the MC diversity, the book falls short in its promises. For the entire first half of the book their is essentially no conflict. It honestly doesn’t seem like he’s doing much to protect her at all. There were only two instances: one witch lasted about a page and the tiniest hint that someone was outside her house. The main plot consists of her running her shop. I had to stop because I was bored and disappointed.
3.5 This was the first book I've ever read with Shifter and the author did an amazing job explaining it. The book was easy to read and I enjoyed myself. There weren't any characters that I hate. I love how we see the progress in Flora and Dylan's relationship. I'm very exited to see how this series continue.
Flora just seems so immature somehow? The scene where she is going to see her mum and is sad when Dylan says he doesn’t meet clients families…? Girl he is your bodyguard. Behaviour is cringe idk
Came back just to say how stupid the fl is 😂 she has an unknown stalker, someone knocks on her hotel room door and instead of waking her bodyguard, the dumb bih opens the door. At this point, it’s her own fault she gets hurt

The first time I opened this book, I literally closed it immediately when I saw it was written in the 3rd person POV. I run from it! TikTok brought me back and I am happy that it did. I love a good story with mates and shifters. Bonus for my FMC being POC. Overall, it was a good story and I loved Flora the most of all. I had to knock it down two stars because the 3rd POV really threw me.
I had to finish this book in one night I was A NEED. The slow burn was killing me for all the right reasons. I’m on the edge of a cliff waiting for book 2. This is the first book I’ve read from Jorjor Battle but I can tell they with quickly become a favorite!!
I enjoyed this book a lot! It took me back to when I read Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater in high school. So it’s been a very long time since I’ve ready a shifter story🥴 I can’t wait for Stained Memories
This was my first shifter romance? So I didn’t really have any expectations! It was cute though! I thought the whole “I need to let her go if I love her” was overblown and unnecessary, I almost made it a 2 star because of those chapters of them apart. Kudos on the first book though!
I enjoyed this book. Something I really liked was the fact that instead of insta-love, I got to experience the couple falling for each other. I want to know more about the character Remi and the fight club/collectors
2.5* After Felix told him to let her go and he started to be an **** for a couple of days that kind of dropped my rating of this book and the whole third act break up nonsense was really annoying and unnecessary in my opinion.

I really enjoyed both Flora and Dylan. They are such a compatible loving pair and even before they got together, it was really evident why they are mates.
It was goooodddddd, flora and Dylan are my kids fr❤️❤️🙏🙏 it was a good three stars! Like river Wilde? Like it was a really good book but not a four or five star (skz🤩) level Yk? I don’t know how to explain it. But it was good ! I want another book with willow and her manssss (I think it’s Ethan?) also luxe and Jackson , my alpha baesss. But yeah didn’t take me long to read, at ALLLLL😟
… I still got it🤭
It’s giving very much the spy in 3b vibes?? Especially cuz Dylan’s an assassin and all.

- idk how to explain it but this book was just meh, like it felt like drinking luke warm water when you’re craving Fanta on your period ( that’s the best analogy I have) - deffo don’t think I’ll ever re read this and I’ll prob forget I read it at all in a week, it wasn’t bad though it was rushed and not well developed in my opinion, like everything just ✨conveniently✨happened, it was a bit irritating - this somehow felt like a twilight re telling
