What a weird book. I feel like the story ended where it was supposed to be at the midpoint of the plot.

Sometimes, by the end of a story, you can kinda see what the author is trying to say or tell, some morals of the story (sometimes) but in this one, I was kinda lost. I don't really understand what the story is, the romance is. The ambiguity of the whole plot is so unsatisfying.

I don't like either of the main characters. They are both terrible in their own way. The romance is almost nonexistent. If you love a romance story in that the chemistry SOLELY hinges on the mating bond, then you might like this one. These two people literally have nothing in common.

I feel dead inside while reading this. The only good part I would point out would be the initial 10% of the book. Because that was the part of the book where I still had the highest hope that this book would be good.

The plot was okay... but it needs a very good edit.

It was a fun read and I enjoyed it. However there were plotholes, rushed situations, flat characters etc... also the fact that the mute FMC, is only mute for a second there was weird.

This was a nice read. Werewolves are the rulers of earth and Vincenzo is the alpha king looking and longing for his mate. Though his mate is human and a werewolf hater, he does everything he can to win her over. Drama laced in between all that 😉. If paranormal romance is your thing, you should definitely check this out. The overall writing and storyline were ok but there were things that were too normalized for me to get over. Her and her mate obviously have lifestyle differences that they cant help and they work through, which is understandable. Also we know from the start humans are treated very poorly. What really got me is the fact that the King doesn’t care. In fact, he wants it to be this way and is against any change even when he sees how his own mate has suffered. It makes it hard to like him at all. I kept waiting for her to tell him more and more about her life, and for him to be shocked and DO SOMETHING, but he is just like “nothing will happen to you know I wont let it.” Sir, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you are the reason for all this, because you are the literal king and can do whatever. We do see a slight shift in willingness to help humans, but nowhere near where it should be. I understand people don’t change overnight and I wasn’t expecting that, what I would have liked is for some serious self reflection on his part as well as taking some responsibility.

worth the read

I loved the idea of a woman being mute being the leaders woman. But there are some big issues with the story that bugged me. One she is miserable and a feeble heroine. Two she dose not know how to read but the leader leaves her a detailed note next to her bed which she reads with no problem even though in the chapter before we are told she only knows her alphabet and as never been shown how to read. Three I hate weak woman and she was made weak by her circumstances in her life.
And if she’s mute why dose she start talking half way through the book never explained. The first chapters were hard to read as she was so weak-willed and afraid of everything. But the ending was good and her man/leader was a good man. So overall try to read it for a different interpretation on a Wolf story.

Familiar plot

This book has a similar storyline to a werewolf book I’ve read before. I forgot the title of that book but the FL was also mute. Humans were slaves of werewolves. Most of the incidents in this book were the same from what I have read before.. It made me think that this author has based her story to the same book.

Good

This was a really good read. It sucked me in from page one. The characters are developed mostly. Towards the end there was some points where the character Marco was treated as it was her first meeting yet they have been around each other weeks prior. Then the last few chapters seem rushed the ending was abrupt for me personally. Still a really great read tho.

I loved this book! Super quick read and kept my attention the whole time. I loved the dynamics between Everly and Vincenzo and the fact that she was able to overcome what she did to have the life she did at the end. Would absolutely recommend to others for a quick read with a HEA.

DNF! Very childish and repetitive,didn't make sense at times,she's mute,then talks,she falls asleep with first reading lesson of a children's book but next morning reads a note from Vinny.
This read would be more appropriate for a teenager

so this was eaxctly what you would find in wattpad if you search for a werewolf romnace story.
and no that was not an offence. wattpad was a very big part of my life so this book was kinda nostalogic (im %99 sure i wrote that wrong) and that is why im giving it a 3

I love the frist 5 chapters of this book it was engaging and world building. Loved it but there's just some issues I could not get past. I did not feel the love between these 2 characters. It felt very forced, and I thought she was mute but then she started talking so I'm a little confused on that part. Very well written. I love the king. He’s kind, gentle, willing to make concessions, and just become a better person for his mate. The ending didn’t disappoint.

It was the typical werewolf book, with the human girl being mute, and abused/suffering throughout her day-to-day life; and the alpha werewolf being her lover!

Vinny was very caring and gentle toward his mate. While, Everly was a sweet, innocent, human that tried to love everyone.

The book was good. A nice little read, but nothing really stood out to me.

Although I would recommend it to any lovers of werewolf mate books, because it is a nice quick read.

suddenly wasn't mute easily, brother pushy, irritating how they don't really listen to her worries as a human vs their werewolf world. can't make myself finish it.
