Although she developed her passion for spy thrillers and mystery novels at an early age, she didn’t write her first novel until her husband retired from the ministry. Now, she writes from an undisclosed location, trying to avoid the torture of mundane housework, grocery shopping, and golf stories. However, she occasionally comes out of hiding to visit with her two grandsons or to enjoy a Starbucks caramel macchiato.

Ben has been a character that is difficult to get a handle on with his upbringing and his father in the background. But I believe he is a survivor and his relationship with Titus a big plus as he continues use to learn. If you look back on your on upbringing and parentals in the background we all need a supportive and encouraging mentor on move us forward.
Titus and Ben find themselves working in different areas of the world in this trilogy. Ben’s father, the Washington Senator, chairman of a powerful Senate committee, is trying to get his son back to a desk job, to get Ben out of danger. Of course Ben enjoys the danger and wants nothing to do with this. Meanwhile, Titus and his wife, Nikki, are working on finalizing the adoption of Eleanor, a precocious 11-year-old girl made an orphan when her father is killed in one operation Titus is involved in. Each book is a standalone, but reading them together kept the background story interesting too. ENJOY!
1-3 read side by side is a blast of thrillers and great reading. Ben is young and not quite sure of himself as a CIA Operative. Titus has become his mentor and great support. These three stories read intertwined with the Titus Ray thrillers would be just plain fantastic reading. I read all the Titus Ray series before I found these and I am starting to believe that our author, Luana Ehrlich could possibly be a CIA Operative herself (😄😂) because of the up close, personal and detail oriented basis of her stories. And besides, she lives in Norman, Oklahoma. Amen.
I liked books 1 and 2, but couldn't get into #3. Good interplay between the main characters. Interesting to have a detective use prayer to get him through tough spots, and not get so angry. I guess the rest of us just bite our tongue.
