Rate this book
I formed a temporary mate bond with the unseelie king… but he wants to make it permanent.

And with the klynnas now hunting us down, we don't have time to worry about a relationship.

Friends with benefits?

Maybe.

But now that the klynnas are attacking and our world is changing, I can't risk falling in love again.

Aev, on the other hand?

He's already decided that he'll convince me to be his, and I don't know if I even want to fight him on it.

Our lives are at stake… and now our hearts are, too.

Your trauma doesn’t excuse your actions. Let that sink in because that is exactly what this book DOES NOT portray. I can not describe the amount of anger I feel towards Dakota aka Dots, the main character of this book. The toxicity, the gaslighting, the stupidity, the audacity that this girl had put her on the no.1 spot of my most hated FMCs list. The story and the plot were infuriating, and this is exactly one of those books where I wish the couple didn’t have a happy ending because using your significant other’s trauma against them because of your own trauma is absolutely disgusting and Aev, the sweetheart, deserved better than someone who hurt him on purpose out of “love”.

Aev was an absolute sweetheart, a cutie full of love to give against all odds. He was not Barbaric, so unlike the other books, it didn’t make sense to me. He was barbaric before, apparently, but we didn’t see that since that was before the story started. Either way, one would think he’d hide away in solitude after what he had gone through, but he did not. He protected his people, loved his people, earned his people’s respect and treated everyone with care once the weight that he carried has been lifted. He has been through so much, I was really hoping for him to get a beautiful love story and a happy ending. This man had so much love to give, and he was willing to give it all. But with a partner like Daokta, there was no way he would get all the happiness he deserved. And he didn’t.

He was hurt by Dakota and still stuck around because he loved her so much. He deserved so much more, so much better, but unfortunately the author decided that he should get a romanticised toxic and emotionally @bus!ve relationship, because that is really romantic. If the sarcasm didn’t give it away, let me rephrase it. Aev deserved the world, but he got a sh!tty partner who hurt him on purpose because apparently, according to the book, Dots’ trauma excuses her actions. And I found it interesting that we had dual POVs at the beginning, but once Daokta hurt him, which of course wasn’t acknowledged by the writing, his POVs disappeared. Why, one may ask. Maybe because it would have actually mentioned that Aev was hurt, and that Dakota was unreasonable and emotionally @bus!ve, but this way only his heart-breaking reactions were described.

Dakota, my god, the toxic, awful, self-absorbed woman who was hurt in the past and her experiences now allowed her to hurt others because apparently that is perfectly acceptable. She, single-handedly, made me want to burn the book, step on the book, break the book, throw the book out the window and do a hundred other things to destroy the book. I absolutely hated this character. You don’t f*ck with people’s trauma, let alone the people you love. But in Dakota’s silly little mind, she shouldn’t be hurt by others, but it’s okay for her to hurt others.

The “grey-area cheating” trope is the worst, but it is even worse when you ask your partner to agree to said cheating to test his feelings. What even is that? Just because Dakota had terrible past relationships, it didn’t excuse that she wanted to test Aev’s love. Especially because we have learnt that the mating bond doesn’t provide feelings, those develop naturally, hence why Aev’s previous mating bond was a disaster. It didn’t create feelings. But Dakota was so self-absorbed, whilst she said she didn’t want to hurt Aev, she still went ahead and hurt him anyway to test whether the mating bond was the one that made him love her. Which again was established multiple times to be not the case. Unreasonable, cruel and @bus!ve, if you ask me. If this had been the MMC’s action, this would have caused readers to kick off. But it wasn’t. Double standard much? Using her past trauma to hurt the one person who loves her has been handled as a perfectly normal behaviour in the book. It wasn’t even questioned. Did she feel guilty? Sure. But she still went ahead with it and, even worse, kept going along with it.

The story started off too fast, they were having a spicy scene by page 5, maybe even earlier. No connection, no established relationship and the so called friendship we got a few sentences of in the last book, which did nothing to make us connect with the characters, was trivial. I would’ve needed more context as we were talking about two people who stood on two different sides of the fae and who were polar opposites, so there was no build up to their relationship.

The plot, where they fought huge creatures was underwhelming to say the least. It started off interesting with Dakota trying to sort it out alone, but then it became dull.

And the writing was very contradicting. It started off well, we even had more dual POVs then before, but then I felt that all that we learnt in the previous books and in this book, they were contradicted later on or made no sense at all. One of which was the mating bond. It’s supposed to be deeply connecting two people regardless of whether they are chosen or fated mates, but in this series the characters could form a mating bond by just one kiss and reject that bond by just one kiss. I feel like this also cheapens the mating bond so much, it doesn’t even make sense to have it. It’s not a mating bond if it takes a kiss to break it. It’s just attraction or fooling around.

I am really disappointed. I hate Dakota, the way she behaved and the way she treated Aev. I am disappointed in the way the book handled Dakota’s toxic, emotionally @bus!ve and cruel behaviour as acceptable, even worse, normal. I am really disappointed in the mating bond, the way it was being handled as if it meant nothing. I am really disappointed in the story, no relationship was established long enough to connect with the characters. And lastly, I am really disappointed in the plot, it was absolutely underwhelming. The only reason The Barbaric Fae’s Soul got 2/5 stars is because I do not give out 1-star ratings.

P.s.
This review got very personal, so let me clarify something. I was Dakota once. I was that toxic person. I was the one who hurt the people around me because I thought my trauma excused it. But guess what, it doesn’t. No trauma ever excuses you hurting people and I am saying it as the person who was that toxic before I realised how f’ed up I was. And I think the reason I am so furious about this book is because it was never touched upon how toxic Dakota was. It was handled as if it was normal even though it wasn’t. Anyway, go to therapy. I did.

Now, let’s start the 5th book, The Barbaric Fae’s Soul.

Page 684
This book literally started off with a spicy scene which bothers me.
They are polar opposites.
Their people were enemies.
We had not seen an established relationship of them other than 2-3 sentences mentioned in the previous books.
It’s way too fast for me.

Page 735
I definitely like that this book is more dual pov than the previous ones. We only got 1-2 povs from the MMCs in the other books, but this time Ave has his own chapters continuously which I appreciate because I find it easier to connect with him. Dakota is a strong woman, I like her so far. She is kind, helpful and a survivor. But I want to see more depth other than her trauma.

Page 772
Nah, if Dakota goes through with her plan, I’ll hate this book. I don’t care what Ave says, it’s grey area cheating, and I do not condone cheating in my books. Especially between mates.

Page 775
I officially hate Dakota. Your trauma is not an excuse for hurting others. She says she doesn’t want to hurt Ave since he has been through so much. But she is okay hurting him afterall to test whether his feelings for her are real because of her past sh!tty relationships? She is hurting him just like they hurt her. Except it’s not physical but emotional pain. How f*cking cruel is that? God, I hate her.

Page 847
I am so disappointed. Aev was an amazing male character. I thought I'd hate him for how cold he was before, the way he was described in the previous books, but no, he was an absolute golden retriever. Dots aka Dakota on the other hand is the type of character who makes me want to burn a book. The audacity that she doesn't even realise she has is astonishing.

I don't understand how Dots could use her trauma as an excuse to hurt Aev when a few pages before she said she didn't want to hurt him. She was hurt in the past, emotionally, physically and mentally, but apparently when she does it to Aev it's perfectly fine because she has a trauma and trust issues. I can't accept this not only because trauma doesn't excuse one's behaviour but also because Aev has been through shit.

I can't understand why the author thought that this would be a good idea. Not only does it ruin the characters and the couple itself when one is "grey-area" cheating even if the other party agreed, but it also cheapens the mate bond when everyone is breaking it and creating new ones. Why is there a mating bond when people can break it so easily?

Dots was so toxic. She cheated, although with Aev's agreement, so she could see if Aev loved her for her and not because of the bond. She formed a bond with someone else just to test her mate. Of course, we didn't have Aev's POV like before, because that would have been way too painful. But if the roles were reversed, people would be kicking off about how toxic the MMC was.

Besides, it was explained multiple times that the bond didn't create feelings, so I am not even blaming Dots, but the author because it felt like she wanted to create unnecessary drama. I am absolutely furious. I can't accept the explanation we got in the book which is that it's because of Dot's trauma. F*ck that. Ave had trauma and didn't do this. It was Dots' absolutely shitty, toxic decision. That's a cop out.

I was okay with this book at the beginning, but after Dot's decision... I wanted to burn it. I still want to burn it. I am furious, disappointed and the only reason book 5, The Barbaric Fae's Soul, gets a 2-star rating and not a 1 is because I don't give out 1s. Otherwise it'd be up there. This was a weak book because anything that was explained was contradicted or didn't make sense according to what we learnt before

I have enjoyed this series. I am looking forward to Naomi’s story. Hopefully she will not be as cold and remote as she has been.

It's finally Dots' aka Dakota's turn to find her mate in the fifth Wild Hunt book, The Barbaric Fae's Soul. Mate angst is alive and well, and the fae have a new problem in the klynnas. It was a great read.

This book started off hot. I was shocked that Dakota was bold from the start going to Aev in his time of need. Dakota may shy away from conflict but her character is strengthing every day. Although I will say her need to prove herself by constantly throwing herself into danger was frustrating but understandable, past trauma and all that. She doesn't see the light she brings to those around her.

The picture that I had painted of Aev was totally wrong. All the Seelie comments and Naomi's actions spoke of someone cold and ruthless, unlikeable. Turns out Aev is understanding, empathic, possessive, caring, and playful. Aev was absolutely adorable and Naomi didn't appreciate him for who he was. Once again this just proves the Unseelie aren't what they were made out to be. They're less violent yes but that doesn't mean they won't protect those who needed it. They seem emotionally cut off but they feel are incredibly strong just reserved, not in your face.

This couple started off quite different than the others, Aev and Dakota were friends before they activated the bond. They cared about each other and they already have a leg up because they communicate well unlike the other couples. They had some hot moments but it was mostly a fair amount of sweet moments and them working on their relationships. There was also the problem with the klynnas. It was interesting seeing another Vevol's animals. There was a good amount of information about them and a couple of revelations at the end. They are just one more clue to the mystery that is Vevol.

I loved Dakota's and Ave's story. Not only was there steam but there were some really sweet moments. Ave has a way with words, there was this one big speech that most definitely had me swooning. After learning both of their stories I'm glad they found their happiness with each other. There's one final book in the series and it looks like Namoi is gonna get her chance at happiness as well.

This story can be read as a standalone as it gave me closure to Aeven (Aev, Vines) and Dakota (Dot, Thorns) story. I don't believe that readers would be confused about what's going on in the story without having read the previous books, but I do think that when it comes to all of the characters in the story, some readers might get overwhelmed, because there are a lot of characters involved in this story from previous books. I absolutely loved the side characters as much as I loved Dakota and Aev. This story starts with a steamy scene, but it was a scene necessary to solving one problem and helping in another way. It led to us being able to see not only the friendship, but love develop between Aev and Dakota. I enjoyed how the story wasn't all about sex even though that first encounter was necessary, and the author gave the characters time to develop feelings that readers could believe. There was never a dull moment in this story. The klynna have escaped and they are furious for being held captive. They are seeking revenge and will not stop until they have it. There's more to Dakota than what meets the eyes. She may have had a hard past and dealt with some devastating blows but she's strong even if there are times where she needs encouragement. She has the perfect back up squad and all of them have to be active if they want to survive. The ending was sweet, and it left me looking forward to reading Naomi and Teris story. I think this is the perfect paranormal story for readers looking for a story full of action with great characters, love, laughs and romance.

Dots aka Dakota was a human woman living on Vevol and has turned Fae. Her bond to her semi-mate is now broken and the King of the Unseelie, Aev is about to lose his mate, Naomi. They were never a good match and pretty much tortured each other for many years. With the advent of finding Fae women, they learned that Naomi can change her true name and thus, not be mated to Aev anymore. This happened at the end of the last book. Dakota is drawn to Aev, whose full name is Aeven. He is a sabretooth tiger shifter and can use ice as one of his powers. But with the breaking of the mate tie and Aev and Dakota making a friend mate tie, the Klynna, are now free and it takes many many Fae to fight just one!

Dakota had a lot of bad things happen in her life in her past on Earth. However, Aev seems to be too good to be true. She wonders if the feelings that Aev is developing for her are real or because of the mate tie. So she tries to break the tie. There are so many reveals in this book. I really loved it, as I loved learning all of the history and it answered a load of questions that I had from previous books.

There are quite a few things that happen that I didn’t see coming. All of them were freaky, lol. I can’t wait for the next book. It should be awesome! Lol There were quite a few beautiful moments in this book that brought tears to my eyes.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved it!

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This series has six books. Each book in this series is steamy connected standalones with humor and follows a different couple with their own happily ever after, and the stories can be read in any order (but recommended to read them in order for best understanding). This is the fifth standalone book in the Wild Hunt series. This a story about a woman named Dakota (Dot), who is turned into a fae and the type she becomes is a phoenix, and a male sabertooth fae named Aeven (Aev) who used to be the Unseelie King. She formed a temporary mate bond with the unseelie king, but he wants to make it permanent and with the klynnas now hunting them down, they don't have time to worry about a relationship. Maybe they can be friends with benefits, but now that the klynnas are attacking and their world is changing, she can't risk falling in love again. Aev, on the other hand has already decided that he'll convince her to be his, and she doesn't know if she even wants to fight him on it. Their lives are at stake, and now their hearts are too. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. I highly recommend to everyone.

Turns out, Dakota is the barbaric one. Not the MMC.

I’ve loved this series so far. It’s cheesy, fast paced, ton of plot with little writing or planning (on the characters’ sides). This book was hard for me. It matched everything in previous books, they’re all the same set up with a bigger background plot.

But Dakota, Christ. She weaponizes her own abuse as a way to hurt others. Instead of character growth she regressed. She was healing, happy, functioning around men, productive, exploring territory that was previously off limits (sex) because of trauma, etc. All in the precious book and first chapter or two of this book. And then she just loses it all, and reverts. Which does happen to those who have gone through a trauma, especially one inflicted intentionally by another person. I had no problem with the panic attacks, having the same triggers cause different reactions. All of that felt normal even if it is depressing.

But the way she treated sweet Aev?? All in the name of “trust.” It was so important for her to trust him that she could cause him physical pain. Which is the whole reason for needing to “trust” him. Because she experienced physical pain (and trauma). He had his own trauma but did we see it taken out on her? Nope. Did he intentionally put her through hell by playing hot & cold? Nope.

She’s my least favorite character. I liked Clevv more.

How I love this world and all the characters in it! Lola manages to find new angles and untold pieces again and again and spin a story that sucks you right in and wont let you go. Each time I almost cry out at the end of the book out of frustration, because I have to wait for the next one.

In this whole series I found the MMC´s patience a great trait and it made me fall in love with them in each book. In this book, I even liked Aev better than Dakota. I just had an issue with her really doing what she did, despite many people telling her and reassuring her that the bond doesn´t create feelings, she chose to inflict pain - not to one, but two people in the proces, one of it her mate. That just didn´t sit right with me.

Other than that, I loved the story, how she found her place and a thing she´s good at. How he stayed patient and understanding and opened up about his own past, to help Dakota work through her past. Like I said, the world building is great and I already dread the series comming to an end soon. But first, a few more couples we have to get to know better. Let´s see if Naomi can redeem herself, I liked that she apologised already and now has a clean slate to fill with a new story.

Discovering her strength

I loved Dakota and Aev’s story. She’s always shied away from conflict and knowing what it feels like to have a bond broken decides to help support Aev when Naomi breaks her bond with him. Aev has come across as cold and ruthless up to now, it was great meeting him and seeing his other side, the one that needs Dots’ sunshine.

Having already developed a strong friendship their relationship starts a little differently to the others, and Dots worries that his feelings are due to the bond and not how he truly feels. He just truly wants to prove himself to her. They are also having to deal with the klynnas (another of Vevol’s inhabitants) who escaped from the ice cage Aev was maintaining when he was distracted by his bond with Naomi breaking. The klynnas have always tried to kill the fae and are drawn to Aev, and Dots, in particular.

This was a fantastic story with bonds being formed, broken and discovered. Along with Dots and Aev, I particularly liked Rerrwyn and how the ex-humans, and fae, are discovering more about Vevol and the other creatures that live there. I really hope we see more of the klynnas in the next book.

While really good, this'll have to be a 3.5 instead of my normal 4 bc of how the ending got a but flimsy. The klynna followed then back to the other Fae, but there was no communication between the small group as to why - other than the understanding that they needed to negotiate peace between their kinds. So when they got back to everyone else, I assumed they were all gonna negotiate together with her as the translator, but then they just fucking left? For a few days of travel with no clear communication as to where they were going or for what specific intent the new location had. That left really weird. I can understand the group of Fae generals council allowing her to negotiate peace for the Fae as a whole by herself bc she had the former king with her, but all in all no actual negotiating happened. They kinda just all agreed to stop attacking eachother??? And I get that the underlying reason the fighting began was because the Fae wanted to travel the sky without the klynnas swooping them, and the klynnas were protecting the sky for their mates, but I really feel like there should've been some actual communication on that underlying point and there just wasn't. I'm totally down with more life bringers creating bonds with klynnas to establish trust and peace tho.

If you had asked me at the first what I thought about Aev I don't believe I would have been very complimentary. Naomi and Aev's mate bond was painful for them both, it shows that you truly need the right partner in such a relationship and also for the couple to be truthful with one another. Dakota or rather Dot had been able to get to see the real person behind the mask of the ice king. Theirs is a true friendship which has slowly grown between them so when Aev is suffering she tries to do all she can to help. Neither one really expected the outcome.
Now I do have to address some of the things that came out in this book and say that it was handled with such grace and understanding. There no blame or shame levelled. A very difficult thing to achieve. I know this is meant to be Aev and Dot but this also very much a book about Naomi as well. You cannot have the new couple without the closure between the former couple. They will each get their redemption. This world of Seelie, Unseelie and fated mate bonds is all encompassing. It sneaks into your heart and each book makes you give over more pieces. Wonderful writing.

Okay firstly I want to say I really liked Aeven. He was a great male and great king who above anyone else in the series deserved a happy ending. I LOVED the Klynnna's, they are so different but so freaking gorgeous, they were the highlight of the book for me, especially Rewynn. But that is about it for liking this book.

I could not STAND Dakota, with her stupid games. I understand she was raped and abused on earth and has trauma. But breaking the bond, knowing it would hurt Aeven because she wanted to know that his feelings were real and not the bond, EVENTHOUGH she new the bond does not create emotions. She is stupid and selfish and Aeven deserved better than her. I also cannot stand Teris, is a prick no matter his history, what he did to those women was just mean.

But the one I HATED HATED HATED and HATED some more, was Naomi. She is a selfish, vindictive, cruel, obnoxious bitch, who I was hoping would get killed. I saw that the next book the last book is her and teris's book. I will NOT be reading it. Neither, but especially her, does not deserve a happily ever after.

I have loved the series otherwise and will be looking to read more of Miss Glass's books.

Dakota has been through a terrible time back on earth and this has affected how she interacts and trusts people. Her only true friend is Summer. She wants to trust but doesn’t know how to get past her fears.
Aev is struggling. He wants to live but he is in constant pain and misery due to his bond with Naomi. When Naomi breaks their bond then it is a catalyst to both his and Dakota’s lives.
This is a great book, which has emotion, love, friendship, caring, action, sexy and heartfelt scenes.
Dakota’s character develops throughout the story so at the end she is a far more confident personality and is far more confident.
Aev is a caring person and is one of the most sexy and sweet characters in this series.
Both Dakota and Aev bounce off each other and their chemistry feels effortless.
This is a serious but fun story that immerses you from the first page.

The Barbaric Fae's Soul

I've read the previous 4 books and I like the series, but I didn't like the FMC in this book. She had suffered abuse from her parents and ex boyfriend before coming to the fae world, but all the women that are brought have had rough lives in some way. Don't get me wrong I am sympathetic to any and all types of abuse, but I feel like that give that person an out to inflict that abuse on another. I feel like FMC in this book use the bond to cause mental and emotional suffering on the MMC. I felt like since he was a male that it was suppose to be ok and he wasn't the only male that had to endure the effects of the bond with her, but the effects the men suffered through weren't mentioned or made of point of because they were. Other than that the rest of the story was fine and I do recommend the series over all.

Lola Glass is a comfort read for me and this was no different! I’d been looking forward to Dots story, and loved her connection with Aev! It was nice to have “chosen” vs “fated”, and it all intrigued me more to Naomi’s storyline. (It’s interesting that it’s now coming out that SHE is the bad guy whereas the other books tended to side with her and against Aev.) I do wish we had more of Aev falling for Thorns, it seemed to happen so quickly. But all in all, a good read and I’m excited for the final book.

Note: Remmo and Sunny are still my faves!

Also Note: I absolutely think these are a series and not standalone. Sooooo much happens in each book that it’s weird to me these aren’t considered a series!

Dakota and Aev were the perfect for this storyline, Aev helped Dakota to flourish and she helped Aev to feel whole again

When Aev explains the night of Naomie’s sacrifice. It all comes together all the pieces of the puzzle.

Aev is one of those men you see and don't realize how much you've fallen head over heals in love with until it's too late.

The storyline you get more understanding of this world, like the
Seelie and the Unseelie, Klynnas and other creatures added in this story.

Amazing story building with all of these books, doesn't leaving you hanging too long and you get your answers to all kinds of questions.

I said in an even, cold voice, “Dakota is my friend, by her own choice. We are bonded, by her own choice. I left her here for her safety, when bringing her with me would’ve been nothing but selfish. Call me whatever you want when I’m gone, but when I’m in front of you? You insult me, and you’ll realize why my bastard friends forced me to become the king.”

Summer really got on my nerves but I did like Aev a lot and Summer was a more well-rounded character even if she drove me crazy, which is why I rated this book higher than others. It isn't written better, it was just more enjoyable.

Getting lost again in this Fantasy world of mortals and Fae with book five of the Wild Hunt series was a pleasure.
I loved the story of Dakota and Unseelie King Aeven which was a romantic, spicy, and humorous whirlwind of dramatis, good writing, fast pacing and adventure that was laced through with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader well and truly invested in their story and delivered an amazingly good read!.

I think this was such a perfect continuation of the Wild Hunt series, touching, you could feel the discomfort between them, but watching the growth and connection build, seeng the pain they were both in, I loved the fact there’s no judgement either, of anyone involved, just progress it’s so beautiful, but without me being all emotional, it was also very much filled with action, drama, hot chemistry as well as being full of heartwarming redemption. Fantastic and beautiful.

I needed something light to read and this series seems to be it. I wouldn't class it as great, but it is decent and has kept me curious about the rest of the characters. Enough to somehow find myself on the sixth book as I write this review based on books 2-5. Would I read it again? Probably not. But even so, I will still likely read some of this author's other books. Just because I can't seem to look away even though I don't think it is the best writing. It is still absorbing my attention. So, take that as you will, give it a shot and see if it is your cup of tea.

This book had many highs and a lot of lows, but it also had a lot of hope for Dakota and Ave. The way in which they tested their bond over and over to ensure the attachment was real added so much to the book. The also twist that I really enjoyed was the Klynnas. They provided a necessary twist to bring all 3 groups together so they could successfully learn to work together!!.

I loved the story of Aev and Dakota. I love how she thinks she is just going to stay friends when all of the other girls have fallen head over heals for their guys. Yes it takes some time, but it happens. But it so cute how shy Aev is about the inexperience he has. Lola is a brilliant author you will never go wrong reading one of her books. I know I have never been disappointed.

FYI: This is Dots and Aev’s story.

Well, well, well. I did not like it when Aev was introduced all the way back in the first book. Now? I think he’s one of my favourites.

That says a lot about the author’s imagination and how she wove this story into something brilliant.

I still do not like the plot holes of these series but for a light-hearted fantasy romance novella? I will somehow let it be.

Oh oh oh! I also hated the forced nicknames. Blech.

broken and healed with friendship and love

Aev and Dokata. Aev has been rejected for so long. Dokata offers him happiness and friendship that eventually turns to love. The thing that was cool about this series so far is that woman are cherished and rare. They show how it can also be a bad thing as far as men being utterly obsessed because women are rare. But I like the idea of this series.

"You're too strong to let yourself fade, Thorns. Too strong to let this be your end. We have a future together, no matter how hard you might resist it or how much you fear it isn't true. My heart belongs to you-and soon, yours will belong to me too."

Tenía muchas ganas de leer a aev desde prácticamente el principio, el villano🥹 me gustó.
Dakota, siento que lola podría haber indagado un poco más con su historia humana.
El banter!!!! Son monísimos

Every time I think I've settled on a favorite couple Lola releases a new book and I fall in love all over again. Dots and Aev's story was no exception. The way their relationship evolves is so natural and I was here for it. I cannot wait to see how Naomi's tale plays out next!.

I’m sure I saw this every time, but this is my fav in this series!
There’s just something about Aev, maybe it’s his acceptance of his position and inability to do anything about it. Whatever it is I simply love him!
I liked Dakota and her strong outer shell that hid all her pain. It resonated with me more than any other character.
