In the first book of this imaginative LitRPG series, a quirky young woman embarks on the adventure of a lifetime in a virtual-reality fantasy game.
Arwyn has just purchased Fantasy Life, an immersive virtual-reality game that allows sleeping players to dive into a world of sword and sorcery with 99% realism. In Fantasia, Arwyn is Fey E’lan, a moon elf of the magical Elvenwood, whose unorthodox approach to gameplay—from befriending local monsters to putting a bag of holding inside a bag of holding—leads to a variety of unusual adventures and hilarious mishaps.
Soon Fey is a Guardian of the Forest, with a small army of loyal pets by her side. And as her reputation grows, so do her accidental friendships with other players curious about the free-spirited gamer. Then an NPC, the celestial warrior-angel Leandriel, comes crashing (literally) into her life and Fey’s carefree attitude is severely shaken. Leandriel seems almost . . . human. Compared to the robotic AI populating most other VR games, that is.
But in a land where both fantasy conventions and physics are honored and upended in equal measure, and the definition of “realism” is pushed to the limits, Fey will discover it’s much more fun to play the game when you play by your own rules.
The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than three million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!
2.5 ⭐️ This book wasn’t bad - it just wasn’t really anything. There was no plot. It’ll essence it was like watching my partner play 4 hours of open world video games, building stuff, collecting items and accomplishing tasks and quests to level up. That’s what this book was.
There was no big boss or villain or over arching villain to root against. And don’t get me started on the ending. It was the ending to a chapter not the ending of the book. It felt so unfinished. Ughhhh.
And the whole “I’m the author and I’m going to insert my reasoning for this into the actual story and break the 4th wall and speak as the author while doing it” was so obnoxious.
The best part was the pets Fey collected. Amethyst, Magic, Boris and the glooms!!!!
I enjoyed reading this very much. The story was well-written, witty, cute, and fun. I actually read this in one go, that's how much I loved it. Fey and Amethyst were so adorable. This book was totally my style. It's an easy and very enjoyable read. It's the perfect read when you just want to chill and immerse in some fantasy.
Was a wonderful start of a series, lovable characters. Really enjoyed the narration, and the insinuation that the narrator is also a character in the story. And the 4th wall breaks were added enjoyment also.
I received a free copy of this book via Podium Team and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed listening to this on Audible. The reader was quite animated. This is my first LitRPG book so I really don't know what to make of it, but I'll be back for Book 2.
This was better than I expected. The breaking of the wall is cool due to it being a new thing for me, but I can see how it would get annoying after a while.
