This book is fantastically drawn and coloured. Any fairy fan would love this. There are fairies of every talent from cooking to art. There are character bios. Great detail has gone into every page of this book it is a must have!

This is a beautifully illustrated picture book on fairies. It's a children's book, particularly for girls.

The text is about the fairies, where they come from, how they live, what they do and their home Pixie Hollow. There are plenty of fairies, including Tinkerbell (from Peter Pan), each with unique characteristics and quirks making it fun to read.

The illustrations are colourful, detailed and charming. The art is drawn by Disney storybook artists, collectively named. Designs of the fairy dresses are really nice.

Disney is great at creating magic, and this book has a good dose.

A deeper look into some of the everyday goings-on of fairy life was probably best left unexplored.

In a magical world full of artsy-fartsy, garden, water and "fast-flying" talent fairies you also have your BREAD-BUTTERING and bath-drawing and your, essentially, menial-labour-talent fairies toiling away in mines and hidden laundry rooms.

But back to the bread-buttering fairies for a moment shall we?.. Butter you ask? Where are fairies getting butter in Neverland? Gird your loins gentle readers, not from cows, or goats, or anything with, y'know, udders. But...

MICE. That's right, people. THEY. MILK. MICE. The "dairy fairies" milk "HERDS" of mice. You CAN'T milk everything with nipples, Greg.


Fairy recipes call for mouse milk brie and hummingbird eggs! (So much cognitive dissonance going on.) "Animal fairies chat with hummingbirds in their own language" soooo that's a bit twisted. They also make friends with flowers, which essentially means that they wear their friends' decapitated heads as hats.

No wonder Tink looks completely miserable on the cover and Vidia is always pissed off.

This book is just as magical and beautiful as I remembered from my childhood. I am seriously impressed by the worldbuilding this book has. Some of it builds from the novels, but other parts like recipes and songs were added for this book. There's so much detail in describing the fairy world! Like the Disney Fairy books, one of the best parts is the illustrations!

In the Realm of the Never Fairies: The Secret World of Pixie Hollow (2006) with text by Monique Peterson and illustrations by Disney's Storybook Artists is one of several titles Disney rolled out to coincide with their launch of a new line of films/merchandise featuring Tinker Bell. The launch also featured a variety of books including Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg which, frankly, was a huge disappointment.

Instead of providing a full story about Pixie Hollow, this is more of a coffee table book with all of the facts and vital statistics about Pixie Hollow, Never Fairies in general, and all of the Fairies you'll meet in other volumes.

In the Realm of the Never Fairies is a fun look at fairies and a must read for anyone who is a fan of Brian Froud's fairy books or, really, fairies in general. I'm still not sold on the idea of all of the fairies having talents (bit too clique-like for my tastes) or a few other things about the new angle on Tinker Bell and the never fairies.

That said, this book is filled with fun information for fairy lovers of any age and the beautiful illustrations that have set Disney's new fairy books apart as something really special.

This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen! If only I could be an artist like the ones who created these images! I got this for my little girl and we both absolutely adore it. I love the whole idea that every fairy (and child) has a special talent all their own, and I love the creativity in creating every aspect of fairy life from the homes they live in, to their libraries, and even their kitchens! It's a must-have for any girl at any age!

I fell in love with Pixie Hollow since watching Tinkerbell the movie. When I knew about this book, I thought it will be related to the movie, but apparently it's much more about the world itself and introduction of some fairies that not in the movie. The art is very beautiful and creative! Really inspired me.

The illustrations in this book are beautiful. They are what bring the book together.

Great children's book (although I am an adult, I enjoyed it as well). I was trilled that my favorite fairy (other than Tink) was included in this book, Vidia. The book makes me want to play the online Disney Fairy game again.

A beautiful hardback book about Pixie Hollow filled with information on who lives there, what the fairies do, descriptions of places like the library, drawings of various fairies and loads more. For anyone into Tinkerbell this book is an absolute must.

I think this is my favorite fairies art book. It’s so gorgeous and detailed. I read it to my daughter as a bedtime book, describing all of the places fairies like to go and talents they have, and she nods right off. It’s so relaxing!

Originally read this as research for a short story but ended up loving it as it helped with healing my inner child. The pixie hollow universe is so vast and every little detail carefully thought out. Hoping that Disney would revive the franchise.

The pictures alone will sell you on this one. It’s the main reason why I picked this one up. The pictures transport you to Pixie Hollow and make you feel as if you are actually there with the fairies and following them around as they go about their activities. They are so warm and inviting. The little details they have also add so much to the reading experience. This is one of the few books where I prefer to look at the pictures over reading the actual words.

This one really isn’t a story. It is all about following the fairies of Pixie Hallow as they go about their day. You get to experience what is that the fairies do and get an in-depth look at their culture. I will say that I do feel like you need to be familiar with Peter Pan before you pick this one up. It really doesn’t go over the main story line at all. You get to tour Pixie Hollow and meet some of the other fairies. The artwork, once again, makes it feel as if you are there with the fairies and following them.

The layout of the book also adds to the experience. You get little bits and pieces of Pixie Hollow, then the pictures. You also get pages for certain fairies and are given the chance to get to know them. There is a breakdown of what the fairies do, how they society is structured, and a detailed look into their lives. That’s what this book really is. It’s just a chance for you to get to know the fairies a little bit more.

I know this is short, but this is one of those books that you have to experience in order to get a full understanding of it. If nothing else, just pick it up for the pictures.

I read this book for nostalgia’s sake. It’s very pretty, but since becoming an adult I’ve realized that there are a lot of fairy talents that are kind of a bummer to have—scullery talent fairies, BATH-DRAWING-talent FAIRIES, table-setting-talent fairies (like, watching all the fairies who are basically water benders and knowing that your calling in life is drawing bath water...)—and then my sister and I noticed that the section on foot wear mentioned WASP SKIN BOOTS and started laugh crying about the implications of whatever poor soul had to be a wasp-hunting-talent fairy facing down ferocious beasts the size of their head with a stinger that could punch right through them. I was not expecting that.

Also, apparently the movies/books take place pre/post apocalypse respectively. I didn’t realize they had an explanation to connect Mother Dove and the Pixie Dust tree without the worlds being AUs, but I guess it’s been that way for a while considering this book was published in 2006.

This book is set in the fairy universe of the books. Not exactly the same as the movies but similar. If you collect the Disney fairy books, this is a great addition.

This book tells the reader how the fairies live their lives. How they make clothes, fix things, grow plants, communicate with animals and keep each other safe. It is quite adorable.

I decided reading this book that I am a Disney fairy. I am a messy artist, that dislikes being bound by rules, I love to tell stories, watching flowers grow, and animals scurry.

The only draw back I can see to this book is its use of cursive. All of the images have descriptions in cursive, and they don't teach cursive as extensively in schools today as they used to. Some kids might not be able to read it.

Thanks to this gorgeous book, the Disney Fairies lore finally makes sense to me.

I've always been a great admirer of the pre-movies Disney Fairies, so every once in a while I will read one of the dedicated books. This one in particular is especially informative in regards to the lore, and goes as far as connecting the book universe with the movies one - I always wondered why the two were so different, but there is a very precise reason behind that. I also love the fact that the Fairies can have traits outside of their own talents - such as Water Fairies loving to make music, or Light Fairies being excellent navigators thanks to their knowledge of the stars. I thoroughly recommend this book to Disney Fairies fans.

I’m a sophomore in college and this book still fills me with such LONGING. The art is absolutely gorgeous and makes you yearn for adventure in a world you’ve never seen, and every little detail makes you feel like you could close your eyes and go there. It feels weird to say this about a tinker bell book, but the world-building is absolutely incredible. And did I mention how stunning the artwork is? Seriously, I’m in love.

I almost didn’t buy this book because I have so many other books about Disney Fairies, such as “the world of fairies: at the dawn of pixie hollow.”
This book, however, goes into great detail about the culture and history of the Never-fairies, which is both enchanting and adorable. I’d say this book is a must-have for Disney Fairies fans.

Even with Never Fairies and Pixie Hollow being children’s concepts and stories, this book is so charming. The art style is just unique and beautiful, and the details of the world and lore are creative and fun to be immersed in. You can definitely see the magical vision the author and illustrators were going for. Very well done!

This was a book I had briefly as a child and never forgot. Rereading it as an adult brought back the very same magic I loved so much as a kid. Highly recommended for all fantasy-minded little girls... and the moms and grandmas who love them.

Lovely and amazing book filled with beautiful illustrations! It's not focused too much on the Tinker Bell animations, but you see cameos of the Tinker Bell fairies. Loved learning more about the fairies and lore of Pixie Hallow
