By the early '90s, Sub Pop had released recordings by Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Mark Lanegan, Beat Happening, TAD, The Walkabouts, and Steven Jesse Bernstein, and had helped to initiate a global interest in Seattle area music. He lives in Seattle, WA.
