I'll admit, I was sceptical going in but it didn't take long at all for me to grow comfortable with Hartmann's environments and familiar with his characters. Locations and people are all described perfectly without drawing attention away from what turns out to be a great adventure story. You root for the heroes, despise the villains and almost feel on the edge of your seat as their chase plays out before your eyes! Michael Hartmann shows tremendous discipline and skill with consistent and flawless writing throughout, truly a great visionary. Having read this, I will without a doubt be hunting down the rest of this gifted authors works!
