These comics are fantastic. I particularly enjoyed vol 4 because one of the episodes in it is a kind of Beauty and the Beast story and because the analysis at the end gives an excellent explanation of the intersections of Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism in Journey to the West.

Our hero beats up a bear demon who stole a robe, and then a pig demon, who joins the party.

The Monkey King continues on his quest to protect a monk on his way to India. More good stuff. Really enjoying these stories and I'm a lot more interested in Chinese mythology than I thought I would be.
