JD finally meets Blaise, whom his grandfather told him too seek. But Blaise surprises JD by telling him that he can't be of any help--and he leaves JD in the hands of an angry mob of townspeople.
I. Love. This. Series. Lots of action, magic, great artwork. & awesome characters. Blaise has just become one of my all time favorite vampires next to Benny from "supernatural" :D "recast" volume 3 shows us a little more information on JD's mysterious grandfather grifford. & about the vampire lord Blaise. & some interesting stuff about the supreme ruler of hell (wonder why kids thought it'd b a good idea to summon him?) & the goddess Eomaia. Maybe thinks aren't so black & white, good & bad? Can't wait to find out!
Full of action & humor & an ever thicken plot, recast is definitely working its way up to a grand finally that I totally wanna be a part of. If you like action filled manga, "Harry Potter", & "avatar the last airbender" you should definitely give "recast a try. But preteens & up please. Mild cussing & a fight scenes that young kids might find creepy. The book says 13+ but I'm thinking maybe 11 to 12 years would be ok to. Really depends on the individual kids though.
