*** Lou Harry and Julia Spaldings book “the complete excuses handbook” is a funny non fiction read. The theme of the book is getting yourself out of situations you put your self in with a lie. Both authors are well established and have other work similar to this. There is no real story line to this book due to the fact it’s a legit handbook. The book was interesting and funny to me because I like to make the occasional excuse and I’m mad I haven’t thought of many of these excuses. What makes this book memorable is that it touches about so many topics from sex to general stupidity. In a world that gets in the way of itself it’s nice to know that people can find humor in everything. Things happen where you need to be excused every now and then and it happens. I know I occasionally have to drag myself along and now I have an excuse to do it!
