Nearly 4,700 Confederate soldiers are known to have died as a result of the Battle of Gettysburg. This book gives the reader a selection of fifty stories, each describing the last moments of a Southern soldier's life. The men were members of General Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. All were good and true men, and valiantly performed the stern duties of a soldier to the end. Because of their dedication and courage, those deaths should not be forgotten.
