A prequel written by Walter Farley and his son Steven. An early life also filled with chaos and coveting for the Black. Explains why the Black is so wary of men; also, how he can bond with one who offers respect and unhurried patience.
A quick read, because not the length of pages, but because the story is So good one hates to put the book down. Great YA novel. Plan to read many more.
