I bought this book from York Castle Museum and it has served me well over the last few years. Written by an expert in this field the book contains lots of detail and highly useful information without being boring to read. There is information on the gem stones as well as finished pieces. There are also several images to illustrate (archaeology drawings and pictures of artefacts). I have found this book most useful in my studies as well as rich background research for my writing.
