I enjoyed the personal stories of living on a dairy farm as it brought back memories of growing up on a dairy farm in upstate NY for about 7 years of my childhood. Other parts of it seemed, at times, like just filler, but still it was an enjoyable read.

This book is pretty comprehensive covering all things cow, using fairly simply explanations for the layman who may be unfamiliar with bovine trivialities. Although perhaps a little dated (copyright 2000), the information still seems fairly relevant today.
