A week ago I finished reading my fourth book for this year in English without using a dictionary. The book is the sequel to my third book. In the forth book some new characters came on, and the story was getting more creepy. For me the fourth book was the most eerily. Especially, when I read the part that a 15 year-old boy enjoyed killing his friend while taking his injured friend, I got a shiver my spine.

This being the 4th book in the series, I really didn’t know what to expect. Especially with how the 3rd book ended because I just felt like that was finally the end of what Abby was going through. Of course I knew at the time that there are 13 books in the series, so I know there’s so much more to come with this series.

The book starts with Abby trying to get her life back together. I feel so bad for her because of everything that she has been through and we are reminded just how much when we find out she hasn’t slept through the night since she left the island from the last book. Poor girl, she’s doing the best she can, but with not sleeping she was on the verge of having a mental breakdown. You cant help but feel sympathetic for her.

I was really hoping that Abby would finally be able to get her life back on track now that the worst parts were behind her. In my head that looked something like what her life was before the accident that left her dead for 44 minutes. But Sinclair and Abby gave us something so much better. She found her place in this “new world” she was in and learned to embrace her gifts. It was so amazing to see that!

There was a short return of Jesse and every time he makes an appearance, my heart just breaks a little more for him. But I’m always so glad to see him come back.

What I enjoyed most about this book was that it took on a very series turn of events which I really was not expecting. Not that the rest of the books didn’t have some heavy stuff, this book just took on some different things. For instance, this book deals with the death of a 12 year old boy that was murdered and Abby starts to see his ghost for some reason. I didn’t know what to expect from it, but Sinclair did a good job linking this with other events in the book. It also dealt with a school bombing and mental illness (kind of). This event was extremely sad when it all played out.

This book was definitely a revival for me. I have enjoyed all of the books in the series so far, but this one was on the same level as book 1. Of course, book 1 is what got me so invested in the story. I cant wait to see what book 5 holds for Abby!

Having loved each book in the series I couldn't wait for the next offering and thankfully book 4 has continued to deliver in the same great way that the previous books have too. The author has a fantastic writing style that means the story just flows perfectly and makes for an easy read that I just love.

I LOVED the fourth installment of the 44 series for many reasons, one of which is because of the character growth. The fourth book feels very much like Abby is starting a new chapter in life. She's moving past her initial accident, and the trauma she's endured since, and she's beginning to accept herself and her abilities. All the characters continue to be familiar, but the book's plot and themes are refreshing.

The whole storyline about Devin is really unique, and there were some moments that gave me serious chills. Also, I felt like all the supporting characters in this book were so good. David was so much fun, and Ty, of course, was great. Plus, Jesse's scenes were fantastic as always.

I feel like these books just keep getting better. Abby is an amazing character, and I hope Jools continues her story for many more books. Book 5 can't come out sooner!

44 book 4

Abby is putting her life back together after being rescued from the island. and she feels she is able to put the Dr behind her.
She stars to develop her relationship with Ty and I think they are rally good together but she is struggling with telling him about seeing ghosts. When she sees the ghost KS a young boy called Spenser, she discovers a much more chilling story behind his death and that he is also the brother of Mo a barista she works with.
Abby not only has that to deal with but she is warned about a darkness creeping toward her, and something big about to happen.

this as a good installment, I am loving the books and the other characters that are coming into play. Sinclair's writing is still very casual.

Abby is moving on after her experiences with Nathaniel and is entering the adult world. Of course she still sees ghosts, and now she needs to help a little boy named Spenser who died in a tragic car accident. But that's not all, Spenser is there to warn Abby about what is too come, which somehow Abby must prevent. But, first she needs to figure it out. Will she be able to prevent a catastrophe from happening?

The story is nice but nothing special. I miss the thrill and suspense of the 1st book in the series, and I don't fine the follow-up books giving that special effect anymore. But, I will still read the next books as I do want to know what will happen to Abby in the future.

Really a 3.5

It took me awhile to get into the book, but I suppose that's because I had to wait awhile in order to purchase it. The time lapse between reading book three and four messed me up a bit, but once I got into the book I went from being 27% finished to completely finished in the matter of hours. I continue to love this series and look forward to reading more.

I loved reading about the relationship between Abby and her coworkers. Her and Ty's relationship was sweet enough without making me want to vomit. It's also nice to see them struggling in certain areas...makes it more real.

Once again a great story! I love Abby and her little group of "friends". I liked the introduction of a new "nemesis" but I thought it was a touch too abruptly resolved. It was still really good though. I just would've enjoyed it for a little longer given the opportunity. I love Abby and Ty and I'm not liking the way that things are being left hanging but only because they're so adorable together. I like that Abby is trying to move past Jesse by finally going to his grave. That's pretty awesome for her to be that strong. Can't wait to get my hands on the next installment!

I really enjoy this series. The books are short, but packed with so much. Suspense, romance, mystery and a beautiful picture of Bend, OR. This series is a paranormal type story, which is totally NOT my genre, but the little hint of romance is great and this particular book reminded me of an episode of "Medium". I loved that TV show and that is what this series is like for me. I'm so attached to the main character Abby that I have to keep reading to see what is next for her.

This book was ok. I dug the mystery ghost and I was happy to see more of Jesse. For the most part, I didn't feel like much was happening until the very end when we discover the truth behind Spenser's identity and the reveal of his warning. The rest of the book was a little dull but that final reveal was enough to get me to reluctantly buy the fifth book.

This was an easier read for me. I was anxious to see where Jools took Abby in her adventure....and sadly, I was disappointed. I expected more...and flew through this book in no time....which to me actually says that I wasn't that thrilled about it.

Hoping that #5 is better....

Not the best of the series at all. It's weak. Nothing really happens till the end and it feels forced. I am finishing book 5, because I've been on the journey with the Character, and need to know what happens. But, I've read better.

I am addicted to this series! Hopefully the author has more books planned. I don't often read a book a second time but one day I plan on going back through them in order one after another! Excellent series with such a unique storyline!

A teen who was killed in an accident, then brought back after 44 minutes now has special abilities. In this book of the series, Abby seems to have grown up so much and come to terms with her life. Great characters, with depth.

She needs to figure that love drama out real quick or I'm going to get too frustrated to continue on. Four books and no progress? Not ok...

Besides that it was a great story, loved watching the progress of recovery and can't wait to see what happens next.

I think this was the best in the series so far! Abby is in the process of trying to let Jesse go, slowly but surely, all the while trying to help a troubled teenaged ghost, deal with insomnia inducing visions, and trying to figure out what's happening between Ty and herself.
