People interested in archaeology and anthropology will find this a fascinating look into some of the famous archaeological discovers of Ancient Africa. Many of the artifacts discovered greatly pushed the timelines back on when scientist had previously dated trading, forging of metals, and flourishing societies in these regions. I especially enjoyed reading the interview portion in the last chapter with Archaeologist and professor Susan Keech McIntosh and her comments about the challenges of excavation in remote sites of Africa.
Interest level high school on up.
