About the author

Sally loved books from a young age, but never considered writing them. While she was busy getting up to the mischief that teenagers get up to, she forgot about books all together. Then total insanity took hold and she became a corporate lawyer. Fortunately, she had two sons and they inspired her to write stories for children. Of course, her oldest son is responsible, logical, studious, considerate, grateful and even makes his bed. The youngest one is only interested in having fun – lots of it. And, except for his teachers, he makes everyone laugh. Their antics have inspired many of Sally’s stories. Sally lives in Melbourne, Australia with her family and two dogs – Pebbles, who is sensible, and Jade, who just wants to have fun.

My Review on: Dead Certain written by Sally Gould

I decided to read this book because it caught my eye. I know you are not suppose to judge a book by it's cover but it was the cover that got me first interested. After reading the back it left me wanting to know more so I decided to read it.

This book came under the category- A book with a male main character. The male main character Max sets out to try and complete his deceased uncle Jack's last wishes. It was very interesting because both Max and Jack are both males, so it made me feel that they had that little bit more in common and made the book feel much more special and meaningful.

My favorite quote from this book was when Max whispered "Bye, Jack". This was my favorite quote because it is the very last line in the book and to me it raps up the whole book that Jack is gone and he has finally got what he wanted.

Something new I learned from this book is to never give up. Even if things start to get tough, if you really want something you will fight for it and get it done no matter how tough times get.

A character in the book that was really interesting to me was Max. He was my favorite because he fought for what was right and completed his uncles final wishes because he really love him and he knew that is what he wanted. He never gave up despite the consequences and stood by for what he believed in.
