This is a small book, of only 100 pages and i would have liked it to be longer. But here is my overlook on the book.
" The contest was raised.. Hold onto the Pizza box no matter what. The prize was a tasty slice of left over Meat-lovers pizza. The problem was that no one wanted to let it go. With only one slice there was no way anyone was sharing. I must not let it go, no matter what happens. But will the slice ever get eaten? And who will taste the victory sliding the slice down their throat? Get ready for another Lightning read.
I would recommend this book, to anyone who loves a humorous read.

What do you do when you really, really want that last slice of pizza and both your younger brother and your best friend do, too? Marco and Co find out that extreme hunger can produce some very strange behaviour, especially when your nona goes missing.

This is a fast-moving, funny story, excellently written by NZ author Rose Quilter, who manages to generate crisis, despair, suspence, a huge number of laughs and a very satisfying conclusion from simple, everyday ingredients - no blood, no monsters, no magic, no explosions and not even an evil-to-the-core villain (if you don't count an irate, muscle-bound backpacker).

The Lightning Strikes series is aimed at reluctant boy readers between 10-12 years. This is a thoroughly enjoyable and page-turning addition.
