Former Army sniper Michael Lightfoot lives a simple life as a forest ranger in Wyoming. The job fits his need to run wild when the moon is full—until two special wolf pups are kidnapped, along with Dr. Liz Graham, the wildlife biologist who makes him want to howl.
The last thing Michael expects when he meets the feisty doctor is to be moonstruck, but the alpha Wolf has more on his plate than just convincing Dr. Liz to love him for who he is. She's being stalked by mercenaries who stole two wolf pups for an unknown faction. Now, with her life in danger, he must reveal his true self to save her. Reuniting with some of his old Army Special Sci Ops unit, Michael takes on the corporate raiders who want more than just his hide—and Liz’s expertise.
Secrets, lies, and betrayals are more personal under the full moon, but when a Wolf loves a woman, he’ll risk heart and soul to keep her.
Warning: When a moonstruck Wolf meets his mate, hot sex will ensue. If his mate is threatened, bad words and violence of the blood and guts variety will definitely occur.

This book wasn’t my favorite. The story was ok, but felt semi rushed. I think I really wanted the story to continue with Mac and Hannah and was kind of upset when it didn’t. I just didn’t connect to Michael and Liz as well.
The group is disband and Michael is working as a ranger when he meets Liz - genetics working for the state. Another wolf is moonstruck and old enemies resurface
All right--I'll admit I'm a werewolf fan and Liz and Michael's story was a great read. The only problem? I wanted more. That can only mean one thing--look for the other books in this series and download immediately!
I had bought and read this book quite a few years ago and remember enjoying it then. I am tidying up my books and redoing missing reviews. This book has jumped on from book one, the 69th have been disbanded and we get Michael’s story this time. Michael was the sniper for his team. He is now a wildlife ranger and comes across Liz who is studying the pack of wolves relocated to his park territory. Liz is a Wildlife Biologist who believes in science so it is quite funny when she realises shifters are real. Something is happening in the background with civilian scientists up to their usual nastiness of thinking they are gods. Some very nasty types being sent to steal some wolf pups. We do get the team together at the end of this book but for the most part it is just Michael and Liz. We have a very sad death too. Loved the interaction between Amy and Harjo. Having read this I can say it is much better than book one, which I now realise was too short to really do it justice.
Michael and Liz certainly get their share of danger and hard hitting action. There are both heartwarming and heartbreaking moments in this romance. I really liked these two characters. His determination to rescue and keep her safe and her resolve to stay alive while being frightened out of her ever loving wits.
The world building and story background is well put together. The military information and jargon is right on the mark. I like the snappy give and take between the main characters. Round it out with a good happy ever after and I am set. On to the next one.
This book is as good as the first. Michael and Liz are hot. She is a science geek and is taking pictures of the wolves and runs into Michael. She sees to men trying to take some of the wolf pups and realizes they must be the ones who already took the 2 that she couldn't find. She decides she needs to stop them. Michael comes to her rescue and then all hell breaks loose. She realizes that Michael has been shot and he gets her back to his cabin and as soon he is cleaning up she starts to wonder is he one of them. It doesn't take long to realize he isn't. Michael tells her that he is a park ranger and has taken care of the wolves since they were relocated here. She also realizes how hot he is and thinks it just everything going on, but its much more...
Michael never has like those skinny women and Liz has some nice curves and an ass that would fit perfectly in his big paws. Why all the sudden can he not stay focused around her before he can figure out shots are fired into the cabin and all he can think about is keeping his mate safe. Mate where did that come from. He has Liz hide and he goes out and takes care of some of the attackers but he gets knock out and the kidnapp Liz. When he comes to all he can think about is getting her back safe and claiming her as his mate.
There story is exciting and sexy. Just like the first. A must read!!

I’m a huge fan of Silver James and was lucky enough to get an early copy of Bad Moon before it was released. I loved it so much, I had to buy a copy for my kindle on release day.
I liked the first book in this series, but loved Michael and Liz’s story even more. Silver again gives her readers two very strong characters. Michael is very protective even before he meets Liz, and once he meets her, his protective instinct goes into over drive. Liz is a strong person, but becomes even stronger when she is kidnapped along with two wolf pups. Michael is drawn to Liz from the moment he sees her, and knows he has met his mate from the very first. Liz is also attracted to Michael, and wants him every bit as much as he wants her. They have really great chemistry together. Of course, alpha wolf Michael fails to share one important bit of information with Liz and ends up freaking her out a bit.
We get to see Mac and Hannah again in this book, as well as Sean, who Silver has promised will get his story too. Bad Moon pulled many emotions out of me. It was filled with passion, mystery, tender moments, and even a few tears. Michael and Liz are a wonderful couple and I look forward to seeing them in future books in the Moonstruck series.
Completely enjoyed the story as the lives of the soldiers of the 69th division contimue! I am enjoying getting to know the guys!
Michael being the focus f this book he was completely alpha, completely sexy, and I wanted to e Liz at parts throughput the book!
The suspense te danger was there at every turn and the book ended definitely with e wanting more! I am glad to find that more is readily available as there is number three in the series waiting for me to read!
Great storyline. Suspenseful, romantic, all protective alpha male! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance with som suspense thrill and sexy strong leading characters!
Woot! I knew I was right to keep reading. This is the second in Ms. James' Moonstruck series and it was a great tale. It takes place a few years after the 69th has been disbanded and the Wolves are on their own. But old enemies are stirring and Michael Lightfoot has the misfortune to get Moonstruck just at the moment the enemies strike. Good thing he has a wildlife biologist who knows wolves best to be stuck with, eh? Great storytelling, hot sex, and not much head-hopping this time. Looking forward to the next one!
Good follow up to Blood Moon, former characters were pulled in, which is always nice. Once again though, not really any back story, I hope she is planning to clue the audience in soon. Bad guys and bad things are happening with next to no explanation. Fingers crossed for book 3!
I liked Lightfoot from the first story. I like the female scientist even more. Strong, smart women that have held onto their feminine side work well with this Alpha Shifters. But there is something darker working against them.
All I can say is "WOW"!!! I love this series. Plan to read the whole series before I stop and can only hope with fingers crossed that there are more to come!
