Jason Dark is a pen-name of German writer Helmut Rellergerd, who is most famous for his expansive series of booklet novels about John Sinclair, a ghost hunter employed by Scotland Yard.

The genre is described as horror detective fiction and the series is published for almost thirty years and spanning more than 1,800 issues, with only a few of the earliest ones being written by other authors.

Für dieses Buch hätte ich eigentlich noch die Kategorie "Trash" eröffnen sollen. Jetzt habe ich also endlich auch mal meinen ersten Groschenroman gelesen -- ein interessantes Erlebnis. Als wäre der scheinbar lockere Schreibstil eines Buches aus den 80ern nicht schon unfreiwillig komisch genug, wartet der Text auch noch mit Logik-Brüchen, falschen Redewendungen, schiefen Bildern und einigen Rechtschreibfehlern auf. Über die sprachliche Seite braucht man nicht reden. Man merkt unter welchen Bedingungen diese Art von Büchern geschrieben wird. Für das ein oder andere Lächeln, das mir beim Lesen übers Gesicht gehuscht ist, gibt es die zwei Sterne.
