The good and the bad

Let me say that I have a love-hate relationship with this series. The first book had me hooked, the struggles and the advances made by these interesting characters, make you want to root for them. The advances in the technology, were amazing. But as I advanced through the second book, I began to struggle with certain things. Not only in the storyline itself, but also in the way it was written. The second series seemed a bit more, rushed, and contained many typos. At times, the story itself seem to drag on, listening to a character’s rambling thoughts, as if only to act as a space filler. Also confusing at times, was the constant change in narration. Where it became confusing as to which character was actually doing the talking, and I would have to back up, in order to figure out who it was. But the one thing I personally found the most problematic, was the manipulation of the masses with blending technology into magic, and in the end, the creation of a pseudo religion, where the main characters are actually calling themselves gods. That was the final nail for me.
