You're my everything, my fucking essence. I cease to exist unless I'm with you. ~ Bobby
But watching their reunion unfold was amazing. Would they make it work after all? Or would all those secrets and resentments hold them back from each other? There is so much I want to say about this book, but I fear I would start to run off at the mouth er.. keyboard and spoil it for other readers, so I'll leave it short and sweet. I loved everything about this book. The plot was sound, and while Belle's 'big secret' was one I had a strong feeling about from almost the beginning, it wasn't one of those things where you get irritated because it's so obvious. I enjoyed the dialogue immensely! I have to mention that because I've read several books lately that had robot sounding dialogue and that drives me crazy! The way the characters interacted in SM was so realistic it was like a movie in my head. I was very happy about that! The supporting characters were so great that I was instantly interested in stories for them all! I really can't wait for the next in this series and hopefully after that Declan will have his book! I need Decaln's book! LMAO!! Declan and the shop vac!!! <-- One of the funniest scenes I have ever read in any book! No joke.
“First, tell me who loves you.”
“You do, Bobby.”
“That’s right, sweet baby. Remember that.”
My first love—the one who I’d foolishly let get away— stood right in front of me, looking better than any of my vivid memories could ever do justice. My Belle.
“Thank you, baby.”
“No, Ace, thank you.”
“What are you thanking me for?”
“For giving me my happily ever after.”
Finally! Finally, we were going to have this come-to-Jesus talk that was so overdue between us that if that talk itself had been a library book, the late fee would resemble the national debt.
"That's not the problem. The problem is that she's slicker than snot on a glass doorknob."
Throwing his hands up in the air, the man stood up and walked towards the door grumbling. "I send him to the jungle one time, where a monkey flings shit on him, and he's yet to let me live it down."
I pulled together enough sense to hope that I'd fucked the doubts right out of her, too.
