So...if this hero is the embodiment of love, then I firmly believe the heroine is better off without it. Keliana was sold into sexual slavery when she was young and was once the Imperial Prince's favorite mistress. After his death, she has been left alone, but still forbidden to all men. Jareth saw her and wanted her and six months earlier began courting her with roses. Keliana dreamed of being free and being able to choose Jareth. He takes that choice away from her and buys her contract from the prince, and expects her to become his whore...because nothing says love like owning the woman you love, right?

She is reluctant at first, but can't deny how much she craves Jareth so she willingly goes to his bed. He's a great lover so she has a week of pure happiness, completely forgetting that she's a slave. That is, until she overhears him saying he can't marry a courtesan . At that point, she remembers her enslaved status and decides to use her jewels to buy her freedom and escape. Jareth is absolutely livid that Keliana was unable to see how good she had it as a slave and chose to run away from him. He invalidates the purchase of her freedom and seeks her out to get his vengeance for her leaving him. By this point, she's not thrilled with freedom, having no way to find a job and ends up selling her services to a brothel for 3 years with the understanding that afterwards she'll be given her freedom and an honest job. If that's not an indication that her freedom is totally important to her, than nothing is. But it's actually a set up. The hero is going to buy her first night and make her sorry for leaving...because even he can't see how important having the freedom to make one's own choices is. He's just pissed that she tried to leave him. Loving guy, that.

So he's ready to treat her like a REAL whore. He's starts out to debase her and humiliate her and make her see that even though she was his slave, she had it good. And it isn't until she's crying and begging for him to just "love" her that he finally decides to be nice to her again. And it isn't until she admits that she can be perfectly happy being his slave and having no freedom if they can stay together, that he tells her he's already freed her. Looks like love has conditions in this universe and her submission is the condition of his love. This love is all fine and dandy as long as the heroine is on the same page as the hero...but as soon as her interests run contrary to his, that love is disregarded and she's is made to pay until she's seeing things his way. This is absolutely sick and doesn't resemble anything like love.

And this isn't even where the story ends. She's drugged and set up to look like she's having sex with someone, it's put on video and showed to the hero. He flips the fuck out and kicks her out, without giving her a chance to explain. Again with the conditional love and the "til death do us part" shit. And even worse, after everything he's done to her, she just forgives him. He's gets on his knees and apologizes and all the months of hurt are just swept away. He doesn't even have to work at it...he just has to say that he's been looking for her for months so he can beg her forgiveness and it's all over. This was probably one of the least romantic things I've read in a while. There are moments that are edgy and kind of sexy, but in the context of a "romance" they don't work.

Voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

I really wanted to kick the shiz outta Jareth sometimes. The way he treated her a time or two. However, its just how things are done and its expected but I guess I expected better out of him. Which...we do get by the end. Keliana I do wish she had a bit more backbone than she did. She comes out of her shell a little later. My heart really went out to her. I felt her pain poor thing. I really enjoyed the book even if both characters ticked me off a couple times. :) I do love this series and its really different from some of the Sci-fi romances I do read. Nobody writes them hotter than Mina. I hope we get more...of course I want more...us readers always do. Holy Hell...Devil? Um yeah I hope we hear more about him or his brother Caleb...he was soooo SWEET! I recommend!

No. Just no. 1.5 stars.

**spoilers**
The hero was a complete and utter jackass and he was not redeemed at the end. If anything, he looked worse for doing something so horrible and then expecting to be immediately forgiven. And even worse, he was.
Strike one for me was when he didn’t give the heroine her freedom, but made her his whore. Then was angry with her for wanting her freedom and threatened to make her whore for the whole army. That was just the beginning. He jumped to conclusions, he was nasty and vengeful towards her, and when he was hurt and angry he acted to get revenge and didn’t care at all about her well-being. If it was left up to him, she would’ve been raped and killed. Or whoring for months just to survive, before he finally found out he’d made a mistake and came for her. It was only because of Devil that she was safe, and that the truth even came out. Basically he was a despicable hero.
What I don’t understand is how this guy could be in charge of the military for a whole planet when he has no emotional or impulse control? He acts like a kid.
Also, when he kicked her out at the end and didn’t let her take anything - doesn’t that mean he robbed her as well? Because there’s no mention of him returning her jewels that she got from the former emperor after he said she didn’t pay enough to be freed. That’s just disgusting - kicking her out with no means to keep herself safe and keeping all her money.

I want an ending where the heroine married the new guy (Caleb) and fell in love with him and the hero came back to her, only to be told to get lost. Now that would have been an ending that he deserved.

SUPER SEXY SCI-FI ROMP !!!
Title: Given to the Imperial General
Series: Imperial Princes
Author: Mina Carter
Designation: Book Two of Series, Novella Length, Standalone, No Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Deliciously Sexy Sci-Fi Stars*****
**Disclosure: This is the re-release of a book originally published in 2012 under the title Harem Mistress. There have been no major changes other than the title and cover.

Oh my! I adore science fiction, addicted to heart-pounding adventure, completely smitten with sexy aliens, and a total romance junkie, so when I get it all in one great read, I'm in heaven. And nobody writes super sexy aliens like Mina Carter! I've been a Carter fan for years and love everything she writes. Carter's work includes a menagerie of subgenres and fantastical creatures, ranging from aliens to gargoyles, reapers, shifters, vampires, zombies, and anything in between. But out of everything Carter pens, her sci-fi romance is one of my favorites! And Given to the Imperial General is no exception. I read this story five years ago when it was originally released as Harem Mistress using the Kindle Unlimited Program. I love Kindle Unlimited but you can only borrow books in the program; you don't actually own them. I loved this story so much, when I saw it had been re-released, I couldn't wait to purchase it for my permanent library and read it again. Although there have been no major changes other than a new title and cover, I enjoyed it even more the second time around. That alone is quite a recommendation! But let's talk a few details.

Given to the Alien General is an exciting, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, standalone novella-length super sexy sci-fi romp filled to the brim with danger, drama, angst, action, adventure, suspense, steamy sex, and dreamy romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple perspectives but with primary points of view from the two protagonists, beautiful, exotic harem mistress Keliana and handsome, commanding, and very dangerous commander of the Elite Sector Seven Forces, Colonel Jareth Nikolai. The dialogue is smart, seductive, well executed, and flows effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite element of this erotic tale is the cast of intriguing characters. I was immediately drawn into the story by Keliana, a lovely young woman who was little more than a child when she was sold by her family to become a member of the Prince's harem, condemning her to a life of slavery. Although she became the Prince's favorite and eventually the harem mistress, Keliana was still very innocent and naive, especially in matters of the heart. As part of the harem, she belonged to the prince and could never be touched by any man other than him. She was trained in the art of pleasing a man but was taught to never fall in love with her master. It would only result in heartache since she was considered to be merely property, a possession that could be traded or sold at the whim of her owner. Society viewed her as little more than a whore. My heart literally broke for Keliana, a now thirty-year-old woman who had never experienced love. Jareth had been infatuated with the beautiful Keliana since he first laid eyes on her sitting at her master's feet many years ago. Jareth knew he could never touch Keliana much less have her for himself but that didn't stop him from dreaming of someday possessing her as his own. But fate may have finally smiled upon these two unlikely lovers. Keliana's master was now Prince Sethan who had finally won the heart of his long-time love, Lady Jaida, and they were newly married. The Prince's new bride was not fond of his harem (*snort* What wife would be?), so Prince Sethan was dismantling the palace harem. Keliana had no idea what her future would be but she prayed she would no longer a slave, to finally be free to make her own choices and live her life without judgment, a life she hoped would include Colonel Jareth Nikolai, a man she'd lusted after from afar for years but knew she could never have. And it seemed both would receive their hearts' desires after the prince rewarded Jareth for his extraordinary service with a gift of his choice. Three guesses as to what he chose! Yup, he chose Keliana. These two intriguing characters literally exploded from the pages and captured my heart. The sexual chemistry between them was so hot it sizzled! But as much as I loved Keliana, I wanted to throttle Jareth. He was dangerous, domineering, quick to anger, even quicker to jump the gun, and always assumed the worst of people before getting the facts. But he was a real panty-melter with a dirty mind and even dirtier mouth. *swoon* He just needed a good woman to tame him. Sounds like smooth sailing for Keliana and Jareth, right? Wrong! Apparently, the universe was conspiring against them. As most of us know, the path to true love is never easy and Keliana and Jareth's journey is fraught with danger, angst, lies, unexpected obstacles, and people determined to keep them apart. But will they each be strong enough to find their way back to the other? We'll see!

Did I like this book? No, I loved it! Was it perfect? No, but nothing that truly distracted me from the story. There were a few instances where the narrative became a little confusing when the point of view changed suddenly mid-scene. Usually, I don't enjoy stories written with anything resembling a third-person omniscient narrative and generally prefer perspectives to be more clearly defined, either by chapter or scene with break designations, especially when there are more than two perspectives and this story did have a third, but the two primary povs were from Keliana and Jareth. But that's just me. Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain quite a few steamy, dreamy love scenes and a domineering alien alpha hero with a dirty but oh so sexy mouth! Hubba! Hubba! It may be a relatively quick read but it packs quite a punch! If you enjoy sexy romance featuring strong, sexy aliens and the women they love, lightly seasoned with elements of science fiction and sprinkled throughout with danger, action, adventure, drama, and suspense, then this book is screaming your name. Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I snickered, snorted, sobbed and shook my fists in anger but by the end, I was happy, satisfied, and well entertained! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read.

This is a hard review because I really, really, enjoyed this book, loved it in fact but it also hurt my heart.
The two H's are both awesome in their own ways. This is a bit of a see saw relationship with misunderstandings and stubborn stupidity causing problems.
Jareth is a hothead so I found it funny he was known as the STONE COLD COLONEL, the meanest son a b in the regiment.
Keliana has had it tough being a courtesan, even though she has only been with the old king she is still owned and therefore a slave, looked down on by everyone as a whore.
Keliana was a wonderful heroine due to her strength and fortitude to live and survive the life she was sold into as a child. She has known no other life and has no other skills so is not prepared for life outside the palace.
Even after being attacked in her own home, she was only worried that Jared’s work papers or personal items had not been taken.
Then the hero, Jareth, does the usual head up his butt trick and hurts the heroine badly. I mean he doesn’t even let her tell her side of the story when something happens. HOTHEAD.
I understand he was already searching, trying to find Keliana and admitted he had F***ed up by not talking to her before he had her removed from the palace. Then to see irrefutable proof she was innocent, must have been torture for him.
Keliana was just lucky she had someone help her or she would not have survived on her own.
Apart from a minor stance of standing up for herself and giving him hell for all of two minutes, as soon as Jareth says those words, I love you, it is all, oh okay then.
Forget all the months I have been on my own struggling to survive due to your pigheadedness, let's get back together and have sex. Why can’t the hero ever really have to grovel and work to be forgiven. Loads more grovelling over time should have occurred.

WHO set up and was behind the video? How did they get into the palace? We are not told.
Also, why is this titled General when he is only a Colonel?
Maybe we will find out in the next book. Hope Devil gets his story soon.
This is my honest review of this book kindly given to me as an ARC.

Keliana has been a member of the emperor's harem since she reached adulthood. She was the favorite concubine for the previous emperor even though he was 3 times older than her. After her emperor died, she became harem mistress for his son but everything changed when the Emperor married his bride and disbanded the harem. Now Keliana is stuck since she can't be sold to another but is unwanted by the emperor. Her life would be completely boring if it wasn't for the flirtation she had going with Nikolai the imperial general. He keeps sneaking in the harem to talk and leave her roses. Keliana wished that Nikolai could be hers.
Nikolai has wanted Keliana since the first time he saw her when she first came to the harem. He wants her for his own but he won't betray his emperor since Keliana still belongs to the emperor. Then he gets called to the emperor and his wife. They want to reward Nikolai for all this hard work and devotion so they offer almost anything he wants. The only thing he wants is Keliana. He brings Keliana home and is confused by her reactions. She doesn't seem happy to be his property. Finally they come to an understanding and have a blissful week together. Then the emperor gives Nikolai some unexpected news. Instead of being the commoner that he always believed himself to be, he learns his dad was a royal which makes him a prince. Keliana is upset because a prince could never marry a harem mistress.
This is a good book with some twists and turns. I felt bad for sheltered Keliana when she was thrown out in the world. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Jareth has been in lust with Keliana since she was the previous Princes favourite concubine. Now that his friend, the new Prince, has disbanded the Harem he hopes to finally make her his. He doesn't care that others may only see her as former concubine, she is his. But they have some legal loopholes to get through before they get their HEA.

Keliana is looking forward to now having the choice to who she chooses to share her body with. Jareth is top of her list and he sees her as something more than her former slave self. But when they finally find a way to be together, she is attacked and her character maligned. Will Jareth still think of her as his princess or will he leave her to hew own fate?

I loved the story and how Jareth sees past Keliana exterior and former job to see the real person underneath. That being said I wanted to kill him at times over his quick decision to alienate the very thing he holds dearest. Keliana is strong and independent and when she flees, she may have been helped to find a new place to stay but she has made the world her own and forged friendships.

My only gripe was Keliana forgave Jareth WAY too easy. I would have made him grovel for at least a month! Keliana can also be her own worst enemy, if she can't see past her former life, how can she expect anyone else to! My little heart is now all a flutter at the thought of Devil as the Hero! I surely hope so cos he sounds delicious!!! His brother Caleb, may just be the nicest guy every but he surely has a bad boy side waiting to come out?!?!

Ms. Mina caught me by surprise I've read this but I couldn't figure out why then I realized the Harem Mistress. I loved then and I love it now.
Keliana was sold at a very young age to a harem, she has always been at the same harem but now she is the Mistress of the Imperial Prince’s harem. But she has always loved someone who she couldn't it was forbidden, but that didn't stop her from dreaming. Now that the Imperial Prince married the new Princess did not want him to have a harem so it was broken up where would the mistress go though. Could she stop being a slave to a harem? Could she freely love someone? Could she have her freedom?
Colonel Jareth Nikolai. a member of the elite Sector Seven, second in command to the Imperial Prince. He has quite a reputation and feared by many.
From the first day that he saw his woman he knew he had to have her, he also knew that he couldn't. Then the Imperial Prince gave him a gift of anything that he wanted properly, jewels, money anything first everybody was shocked even he was that he said who he wanted as his gift.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this story! This is the second book in the series but it is a stand alone. If you have read the first book then you have an idea of the world and the attitude of society. I love the strong female characters that we get, and the strength they show given the world they live in. Keliana has been in the Prince's harem since she was little. She has been harem mistress for years and has not been with the current prince either. As they harem is being disbanded she doesn't know what her future looks like. Nikolai has had a thing for Keliana for years but as she was part of the harem, he could never have her. He gets a chance when offered a gift by the prince and he asks for Keliana. They have had a little thing for years, one where he left her roses but they never could interact, just watch each other from afar. They have a road ahead of them with people wanting to interfere and the ideas they each have about the harem and place in society. I loved getting to see them develop their relationship and making it through the issues. I did want to smack Nikolai a few times for sure but loved Keliana's quite strength. The story was really well written and drew me in from the beginning. These characters made it for me and I can't wait to get Devil's story (you will quickly figure out why once you read this book).

Keliana is a courtesan.
She's also in charge of the Imperial Prince's harem.
Unfortunately for her, Prince Sethan has found his Princess and no longer requires a harem.
Keliana's future is now uncertain.
Things start to look up when Keliana is courted by another.
Keliana is intrigued by the attention but she's also wary about betraying her master.

Her suitor is Jareth, the Prince's most feared General.
Jareth is an experienced warrior with a fearsome reputation.

Jareth has been taken from the first moment he laid eyes on Keliana.
But he kept his distance and his hands off.

After years of dutiful service, Sethan rewards Jareth anything he desires.
Being a man who's been admiring the untouchable Keliana from afar for years, Jareth chooses Keliana as his prize.

Happily ever after does not come easy for the couple. Keliana has idolized being in a real relationship and loving a man just as he loves her. Jareth is a man and a soldier, which leads him to say the wrong thing and wreak havoc in the relationship. Lots of twists and turns are involved plus appearances from new and old characters from book 1.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book and was not compensated in any way.

Given to the Imperial General by Mina Carter is Book 2 of the Imperial Princes Series.

Please note that this is a sci-fi romance and a RE-RELEASE under another title which was previously available through another publisher. I have not read the other release, however it is my understanding that there is little-to-no difference between the two texts.

This is approximately 190 pages and while I thoroughly enjoyed Book 1, this one I kinda shuffled my way through only to get it over with. For me, my reading issues revolved solely around the characters. Although I enjoyed Jareth, I found Keliana lacking...lacking some spine and mettle. The other issue was how difficult it was to immerse myself into the story due to the awkward and stiff interactions between the characters. Considering the amazing things this author normally puts together with much shorter stories, I felt as if this one should have outshone those others seeing as she had much more to work with as far as character development, interactions, etc. Overall, a good read and will take you away from life’s stressors for a bit.

Please note that an ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

I pretty much hummed along in reading this until I get to the middle and then Keliana made me all teary eyed. Keliana and Jareth are on track to be a love made in the stars – until they have massive communication issues, political and personal sabotages. Then the story really gets down to business.

This story loses a star for the Jareth being an idiot. I felt that he didn't grovel enough, apologize to Keliana, take the time to explain himself or listen to her. I really had to remember that Keliana wasn't an independent woman of the world. That her life lessons and knowledge all surrounded how to survive around men in the palace. When she reacted to something, it was from naivety and not being a ninny. She was a strong woman at the core but didn't know how to speak up and fight for herself. I gave this story an extra star for the tissue factor - how deeply I felt for Keliana and was anguished with what she had to endure.

This story also left me wanting Devil and Caleb to both have their own stories, and soon. It is the second in the series but is totally stand alone.

Keliana’s attraction for General Jareth Nicolai made her feel emotions and longing to be loved but, as courtesan and slave, she knew hers were only dreams. General Nicolai had his eyes on Keliana since she arrived to the palace but, she was the prince’s property and forbidden. With a meddling prince that had tasted true love anything was possible and soon the cold and feared General was to have his chance. But misunderstanding, intrigue and evil lurking in the dark waiting to strike, complicated things and rattled the General’s chains. All seemed lost. A story with a good pace, suspense, action, a sordid scene, interesting and unexpected twists, violence, strong emotions, some tender scenes, romance and passion. Angry with Jareth, a man of little faith. Liked Devil’s character and how he dealt with the situation. Can’t deny that I could not hold back the tears with some scenes. I was caught in the story.

Imperial Princes! I just finished the second book in the series, Given to the Imperial General. Sci Fi being on OF my fav genre’s and Mina Carter being one OF my fav authors I was in book heaven. Very entertaining so much so a few times I wanted to reach in and shake both Jareth and Keliana until their head rattled. Lack of communication was detrimental to them both.

A structured upbringing, a way of life is all you know learned in the ways of pleasure and you know men very well but maybe not as well as you should or even know yourself.

You’re a hard nose use to giving orders and having things done your way. Some much rather see you leaving then see you coming. You have control of everything except your own emotions.

A quick story that clenched my heart at the passion, made my brain stutter at the stubbornness. Paired with the hot scenes and a bit of mystery so made this book well worth the read. I read and reviewed this book voluntarily. Enjoy.

Not only does this have nothing to do with the Lathar series but it was also written buy some cheap skate ghost writer cus these books suck!! Very rapey and not the play bdsm kind but the “it’s all slavery and blackmail like from an ugly boss who threatens to ruin you and you can’t feed your kids kind” “creepy and desperate no sleep or food for a week kind” runny on fumes kind” but with a happily ever after at the end 😐 like that makes it allll better... um no! shitty book shitty series that makes me feel like shit. No thx I have my real life for that!! Thx for making me pay for a crappy fantasy life! What a waste of money I couldn’t even afford to use before. Refund plz!! And this series has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LATHAR SERIES!!

This is the second book in this series and just as entertaining and even better you get to catch up with the characters in the first one. Prince Sethan's new wife Jaida has disbanded the royal harem and now only a few remain to be allocated to new owners or different professions one of them being the Harem Mistress Keliana. She has been in the palace most of her life having been sold when very young to be trained as a courtesan for the current prince at that time. Prince Sethan has granted his best friend General Jareth a boon for his loyal service and Jareth has wanted Keliana for years, so now she is all his. Jareth and Keliana are about to have a few communication problems within their relationship and it will definitely not be smooth sailing for them. Thank you to Mina Carter for the wonderful review copy. Loved it.

Loved it! This story takes place after "Pursued by the Imperial Prince". It's not necessary to have read the first book to read this one but characters and situations from book one are mentioned. Keliana has spent her life as courtesan and following the rules of such. She has always dreamed of being able to choose whom to love. Jareth is the right-hand to Prince Sethan as well as his friend. When the Prince offers Jareth a "boon", Jareth chooses Keliana. What follows is a rocky road paved with misunderstandings and lack of communication. Will Keliana and Jareth be able to navigate this road? I hope Ms Carter has plans for future books in this "world"- especially one for Devil.

A very good read, I recommend it!
Keliana, Mistress in the Imperial Prince's harem will soon be out of a place to live. The harem is being disbanded. She wants a man who wouldn't be able to claim her. Jareth's been admiring her from afar for years. An opportunity arises, but nothing seems to run smoothly for these two. If one is not misinterpreting half-heard conversations, the other is jumping to conclusions without asking questions. And Jareth's style of acting out is downright cruel. Keliana does manage to land in a good situation when she needs it most. As you can imagine, there are many issues, investigations, and dangerous situations to work through before there is a resolution. I voluntarily reviewed an author's copy of this book.

Taken

Can we say pig headed, arrogant, studly, a fighter but still lacking in common sense when it comes to the fair sex.

General has always wanted just one thing but he never saw a way to achieve it when the old emperor I was alive.

Story will give you one woman's wishes, hope, dreams but her reality will be something totally different. Did your all as wishes the no expectations of it cheating in until his friend grants him a boon.

Misunderstandings, is easedropped conversations, and betrayal, throw in a little murder, and you will have a story to hold your interest.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher without obligation to do so.

I feel sorry for this author.

I have read five of her books. An I find abusive behavior in all of them. I am worried and feel deeply sorry for this author, if she finds these relationships romantic. It is deeply troubling.

Usually when I don't like books I don't care that much. But this is not romantic. This is abusive and sick. To masquerade this as romantic can cause damage if someone takes it to heart.

Actions speak louder than words. Only if you really listen do you see it. And these "heroes", there is a clear discrepancy between their actions and their words.

They don't evolve, they don't change their ways. They continue on in the same abusive behavior.

Holy (expletive deleted)! I really enjoyed book 1 and was very excited to read book 2 when I found it. But wow...just...wow. I can't believe everything the h had to go through here. At the first "conflict" between the H & h, I remember thinking how the book could end now that they've gotten their resolution but then I noticed we were only about 4_% in the story and I got nervous wondering what could happen next. Well...then it did. No spoilers but man this one drug me through the wringer emotionally. Very good story.

Keliana is the mistress of the imperial prince harem. A hare that has been dismantled since the prince took a mate.
Colonel Jereth Nikolai is the prince's right hand man and the commander of his armies. Even as a young man he has always wanted Keliana.
Not going to give any of this story away and wow are there some major twists and turns to the plot. Lost of action, betrayal and spice. The characters are amazing buthere it the story line thst will keep you at the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.
Don't miss it!
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

SPINELESS! Our heroine is spineless. There was a moment where she thinks SHE would never forgive a man for not appreciating her but then nothing she does after that actually equates to that. I would have made that ass grovel. Like, GROVEL for a few months atleast...
Ugh.... after enjoying book 1, Im side eyeing this so hard it's giving me wrinkles...

Keliana is a former harem mistress and has taken the eye of Jareth an Imperial Fleet Colonel. A forbidden romance due to the fact she is property of the Prince. Circumstances allow him to buy her and their romance becomes extremely rocky. She's still property, can he love her? Will they have happiness together as she is cast out.
Good story, fun characters..sometimes frustrating as Jareth needed a good kick.

The storyline has a good mix of action and romance. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. Jareth is a character that rouses your anger and desire. He is very arrogant and regularly does things that challenge his chance to have a relationship with Keliana. Keliana did not deserve his anger and distrust and only wants to be with the man she loves. The chemistry between them is very strong regardless of their other feelings.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Finding love is easier than keeping it. What a great way to spend an afternoon! This story has depth and layers. Neither Keliana nor Nikolai believe they deserve the love they want to have, and they stumble and screw up and basically make themselves miserable, but i loved every page of their misery! The characters are flawed but beautiful. The story is smooth and reads easily. It was easily one of the best written stories that i have read in a while!

Another home run!

I've read both books listed and they were great, though the first one was too short. The first princess is sich a wild card that she just screams fpr more...in book two the newest prince and princess are just so cute and romantic with their love for each other, though a little more about the newest "little prince".

While reading aboit these two couples there were plenty of hints about a third couple that are just screaming to tell their story.

After everything he pulls, she still takes him back? I can work through the typical eavesdropped "misunderstanding " but throwing her out after she'd been attacked...he was dead to me from that moment on. Thank goodness for Devil! Looking forward to his book since I think he's neither a moron or a dick.

Oh my goodness, two absolutely clueless people that seriously jump to the absolutely worst possible conclusions when they hear/see something that upsets them. Great story-line and writing. I really did fall in love with these characters with all of their foibles and flaws. Great story Mina Carter!
