Anyone in here who can suggest on where i can get a copy of this book? Either paper back or ebook format. Please don't suggest the one I found in Ebay. The cost is way too expensive.

“Being human and making a mistake like a human being is a privilege most of us are not aware of.”

My mom lent me her book (hardcopy) which I read since I'm not doing anything at home during quarantine. It's similar to the classic Sidney Sheldon stories that involve an exciting adventure among the characters. The events are quite surprising and unpredictable so it really keeps you on edge. After doing a bit of research about the book, I found out that it was taken out of the shelves because some parts of the story have a hint of truth in them such as using names of people that exist in real life.

It's like a Cinderella fairy tale with a mistreated German girl who meets a prince in the form of an American army captain. The plot revolves around their search for the Libertine's true identity with the help of trusted acquaintances whilst evading the observant eyes of an antagonist in the form of the a secret German Communist organization. Money, as their universal language, becomes both their solution and their problem. I think it's also necessary to say that this is essentially a romance novel and the plot revolves around their love triangle issue rather than their evasion from the communist organization.

My gradmother let me read this book. It’s not one of my favorite books but it catches my eye about its plot twist. The only thing that put me off is that the story concerns about grooming.

Sadly, I think a few copies of this book was published as it was a self-published one?

A friend lent this to me in high school and it's one of the best books I've ever read. Unfortunately, I can't find a copy anywhere, either in bookstores or online :(

Read it back in high school and still want to read it again. Good old copy lost in between passing on to friends who all want to get hold of the book.
